They are a huge influence and so innovative in their methods too. I read that they use a lot of old analogue gear and no computers at all, which is quite something!

I'm not certain they would be completely computerless if they are still producing these days (haven't seen any news) but Warp Records stuff of that era was heavily based on live and studio electronic instruments for sure. Its been a big influence for leftfield artists over the years. BOC certainly managed to poke their heads above the surface influencing the likes of Daft Punk and Moby, Radiohead etc. Not to mention the much adored Aphex Twin also of Warp lineage ...

Aphex Twin is definitely in their league of genius artists, have always loved his work.

Yep. They also used a lot of cheapy sort of things, old little Casio keyboards and whatnot.

Circuit breaking is something else they’d do but the strangest thing is, their first album came out in 1998, they sound more recent than that and I think the music they created will never age!
