Los Terrícolas (The Earthlings) for Three Tune Tuesday
Hello music lovers
Today I will ride the crest of the wave of three-tone Tuesday. Yes, I know I missed the previous 218 musical waves sponsored by @ablaze. But it’s never too late. Maybe I can pick up the beat while enjoying songs from other latitudes. For now, I will try to bring some melodies to the stage that were a rage in my youth.
I want to debut reviewing a romantic band from the seventies in my country: Los Terrícolas (The Earthlings). Yes, remember that surely the name was taken from the euphoria of the feat of landing on the moon in 1969. Good to land. The Earthlings were comprised of brothers and cousins who broke into the Venezuelan entertainment industry. Of the young man, how many of his songs did I sing? Over time, I discovered that there should be a blood link between them and mine because they share a very unusual surname from the north of Spain. You know, as the family expands, it usually also loses contact between the new generations. And I think that’s what happened here. But that would be wood for another post.
I will not bore you with more words. Here I leave my debut selection:
1.- I swear I love you
An iconic ballad that expresses eternal love and suffering with an unforgettable melody. Perhaps the most emblematic of Earthlings. With lyrics full of passion and loving dedication that have been covered by several artists throughout Latin America
I swear that I love you
[Verse 1]
I swear that I love you, it's raining outside
Inside I’m trembling because you are leaving, (because I will be leaving)
You will leave very soon, (I will leave very soon)
Soon you will take an unknown train
There isn't much time left, I swear that I love you
Now you are crying, but why cry? (but why cry?)
If you'll return, (if I’ll return)
And you will remember everything that is ours
[Chorus]
And my feelings
Will never changes
Even though I suffer this torment
You stay with me
And my feelings
Will never changes
Even though I suffer this moment
You stay with me
[Verse 2]
I swear that I love you, your name is screaming
The train is leaving, you will not listen to me, (I will not listen to you)
How much you make me miss you, (how much do I make you miss me?)
With you, the whole world will go and you go
[Chorus]
And my feelings
Will never changes
Even though I suffer this torment
You stay with me, Weah!
And my feelings
Will never changes
Even though I suffer this torment
You stay with me
[Outro]
And my feelings
Will never changes
Even though I suffer this torment
You stay with me
Uh, uh, uh, uh-uh
Uh, uh, uh, uh-uh
2.- You will cry
A melancholic song about is about heartbreak and regret, one of the most emotional in the group. Very popular in romantic radios of the time, and it that never missed in the compilations of classical ballads of the repertoire of this type of music.
3.- Stop crying, little girl
A tender song that became a generational hymn for its comforting message.
It is a tender and nostalgic song that became an anthem among my generation. With a soft and sentimental style, it was strongly established in several countries of Latin America.
Stop Crying, Little Girl
Stop crying little girl
Stop crying my love
Although I will go far away
Someday I will return for you my love
I have to leave you
my ship will sail
My heart hurts
But I have to leave
Life was very cruel
Erasing our yesterday
With you I was happy
I'll never forget you
I swear that your love
I will always carry it
Caught in my being
like a beautiful flower
And when your memories
fly to me
my eyes will cry
Also for you
Stop crying little girl
Stop crying my love
And although I will go far away
Someday I will return for you my love
(Stop crying little girl)
(Stop crying my love)
(And although I will leave very far)
(Someday, someday I will come back for you my love)
I have to leave you
my ship will sail
My heart hurts
But I have to leave
Life was very cruel
Erasing our yesterday
With you I was happy
I'll never forget you
I swear that your love
I will always carry it
Caught in my being
like a beautiful flower
And when your memories
fly to me
my eyes will cry
Also for you
Stop crying little girl
Stop crying my love
And although I will go far away
Someday I will return for you my love
Stop crying little girl (stop crying)
Stop crying my love (I know I will cry)
And although I will go far away
Someday I will return for you my love
I trust it has been to your liking. I know that they are sad and melancholy, even here they were called out of spite, in the best tradition of the influence of the Mexican golden age. Something like cutting your wrists. Ha, ha, ha. Don’t be afraid, I’m still here, a survivor of a magnificent era.
God willing, until next Tuesday...

Good morning, Javier. Here I am, tripping over these gems from the past. Like when I used to tune into Viejas y Viejitas on AM radio or some nostalgic FM station.
(I'll check how Google Translate spells it by the way)
Happy day, my friend @janaveda.
Good morning, Felix
Yes, not because they are old songs, they stop being good. Worthy to hear today. I trust you enjoyed them.
Greetings, my great friend
¡Mucho!

Welcome to TTT :)
These are beautiful, sentimental melodies, sung with so much passion. The lyrics of the third song made me feel so sad :(
Thank you very much for your welcome to TTT. Yes, they are beautiful themes that connect with emotions. That is why they were so celebrated in their time.
Greetings.
