Our Hive Power Delegations to the July PUM Winners

avatar

Each month we reward successful participants who committed themselves to raising their Hive Power every day of the month. As you no doubt know by now, we have shifted our Hive Power delegation reward from the Power Up Day to the Power Up Month.

Este post está traducido al español - aquí
Une version en français de ce post est disponible - ici

We aim at rewarding extremely regular participants, and those who are generous in helping others, by providing them with a 3 week Hive Power delegations!

The amount of HP delegated is calculated according to the following criteria:

  • How many successful Power Up Months in a row you have achieved.
  • The total amount you powered up during the PUD and the PUM.
  • How many PUDs in a row have you participated in
  • The levels of your power-ups on PUD (ex: you made two "level 3" and three "level 5" power-ups).
  • The number of people you helped to power-up and the amount involved.

The higher all the above-mentioned values, the higher the delegation you can receive.

Delegations winners

The Hive Power Up Month challenge ended with 54 participants successfully powering up each day of the month. They all did this in different ways but will all share receiving a delegation from us.

Remember that the more you participate in Hive Power Up Months and Power Up Helper, the bigger our delegation.

This month we will delegate 3761 Hive Power as follows:

I doubt that I would continue to Power Up (a minimum of) 1 HIVE daily and 10 HIVE on the first day of every month (or Power Up more than 30 HIVE per month in general) if not for the #HiveBuzz Hive Power Up Challenges !INDEED. 🧘‍♂️🤯🤗

Same here, since for me there would be no benefit to saving HIVE all month to powerup on the 1st of each month. I'd just power it up as I receive it. 😁 🙏 💚 ✨ 🤙

There's also the option to simply convert or swap HIVE to HBD if someone doesn't want their HIVE locked for 13 weeks as Hive Power, then put to Savings to earn 15% APR compounded monthly (or basically 1.25% per month where each month is 30 days). 🤓

True, though that would only be a good idea if the price of HIVE were high, otherwise too much is lost in the conversion. 😁 🙏 💚 ✨ 🤙

People also aren't supposed to convert very little amounts of HIVE or HBD (especially the minimum positive amount which is 0.001 HIVE or 0.001 HBD), or they will lose (effectively burn) a huge percentage of their source token (technically up to 100%) because of the destination token amount being rounded down to the nearest thousandth digit. 🤯😅

That's unless they want to "help Hive" by letting a (large) portion of their HIVE or HBD to be swapped or converted be burned. 🤔🔥💸🤯😆🤓

It's a time-consuming way to "help" increase the price of HIVE or HBD though, as it requires several clicks to finish a transaction to convert/swap between HIVE and HBD (and also requires inserting the private active key every time if not already saved on #HiveKeychain or #Hivesigner). 🤔🤯

I think that I read here on Hive about a Hive-based project which gives any Hive account certain tokens (on #HiveEngine) for every HIVE or HBD burnt. 🔥🤯🤓

Well, I was thinking more that it would be a side benefit, rather than a primary means of doing so.

This is my first time hearing about that, interesting. I know I'd never participate, as both HIVE and HBD are far too valuable to me. 😁🙏💚✨🤙

I don't think that anyone needs to plan to "participate" in getting any token from burning HIVE or HBD, since it can be considered only a "token of appreciation" for anyone who burned any of those first-layer Hive tokens. 🤔🤯

Anyway, I don't know where I read that project (here on Hive), because it's really hard to find it using #Ecency Search. 🔥🤯😅

I think that nearly all of the people on Hive who "participated" in such project were unaware that such initiative existed! 🤔🧘‍♂️🤯

Maybe I actually read it on the blockchain where Hive emerged from and was published after the fork, so #Ecency Search will surely not find it !INDEED! 😆😅

If ever someone on Hive burned HIVE or HBD and got some tokens for it from the project, then they wouldn't have been notified that time (since even #Ecency used to not notify their users of any incoming #HiveEngine token tipping transfer, not to mention all other Hive blogging frontends have not implemented notifications for Hive Engine incoming transfers). 🤔🤯 That's the reason why most people (on and off Hive) would not be aware of such project, regardless of whether they burned HIVE and/or HBD. 🤯😅

Ah, OK, I see. Why would people just decide to randomly burn HIVE or HBD? That seems counterproductive to the max. 😁🙏💚✨🤙

I don't think that someone on Hive burning HIVE or HBD is random, but on purpose. 🤔🤯 For example, someone who accidentally published a post twice will burn the rewards of the duplicated post (usually the one with the lower total rewards) to make it "fair for the community". 🔥🤯🤓

I wonder why it would be very difficult to burn the rewards from a duplicated post, especially since you (and anyone else) can easily see how much author rewards you have received from any of the duplicated posts !INDEED. 🤔💸🔥🤯😅

I think that the Hive author who has accidentally double-posted has a better "defense" if they are able to edit the post title and content (and description) a few minutes after they realized the error (especially for Hive accounts that are already a few weeks old that get autovotes, such that the post can no longer be deleted because of the positive votes). 🤔🧘‍♂️🤓

Modifying the post is quick and easy, but it first requires the Hive author to become aware that their post !INDEED got duplicated, either by checking their own Hive posts or getting replies from other people on Hive regarding the duplicated post. 🤔🤯

Anyway, your !WINEX token tips made me accumulate at least 25 (staked) WINEX tokens again on my #HiveEngine wallet, allowing me again to tip and get tipped back 0.1 WINEX per day (UTC). 🍷😎😏

!WEIRD

Well the easy part is true, but if they were not expecting their post to duplicate, and they had nothing quickly available to swap in, then it may take a bit longer.

Oh, excellent, that's good to hear. I only get three calls per day, and all three are already allotted, so I'll have to use something else for now. 😁🙏💚✨🤙

Even an "error post" title and post content as substitute is enough for most cases !INDEED for duplicated posts. 🤔🤓

On a similar note, if you forgot to tip me (or @savvyplayer) any token on any of your comments, I usually don't notice that, and if I do, it's totally fine. 🧘‍♂️🤗 That's because I highly prefer long replies without any tokens tips !INSTEAD of comments with lots of (successful) token tips but very little to no other text. 🤔🤓😏
