🎤 Una Canción "Experimental"

Esta semana me dio por jugar a ser artista avant-garde - aunque mi vecino del tercero dice que sonó más como "un gato maullando sobre una lavadora". La cosa es que grabé mi versión bien loca de una canción, inspirada en ese sonido psicodélico de Aterciopelados (pero sin la genialidad de Andrea Echeverri, claro). Y sí, admito que la mezcla final quedó con un eco que ni en las cavernas de Chichén Itzá. Pero hey, ¡el arte no sigue reglas!

Confesiones de grabación:

• Usé un cuatro que me regalo con amigo el cual no pienso soltar (spoiler: tiene una afinacion rara a veces)
• El "acento colombiano" me salió más paisa-ranchero que otra cosa
• Grabé pegado al microfono del celular endogeno (el presupuesto no daba para un microfono real)
• Los coros los hice en el baño... y se nota... edicion post band lab.

pue sme diverti, la verdad. Siempre me encantó cómo Aterciopelados mezclaba lo tradicional con lo experimental. Mi versión suena a "experimento fallido", pero el proceso fue divertidísimo.

Dato curioso: Cuando le mostré el demo a mi mamá, me preguntó si era "esa música nueva que le gusta a los jóvenes" o si me había intoxicado con ron.

¿Vale la pena escucharla?

Pues... depende:
✅ Si te gustan los sonidos raros (tipo "Florecita Rockera" en una máquina de fax)
✅ Si eres fan de las rarezas musicales con sonido accidental
❌ Si eres mi vecino del tercer piso (ya compré tapones para tus oídos)

Al final, esto es música hecha con cariño y cero pretensiones. Como decía mi abuela: "Lo importante no es cantar bien, sino cantar con el corazón..." Y si Andrea Echeverri algún día escucha esto, ojalá se ría conmigo y no de mí.

This week I decided to play avant-garde artist - though my third-floor neighbor says it sounded more like "a cat meowing on top of a washing machine." The thing is, I recorded my crazy version of a song, inspired by Aterciopelados' psychedelic sound (but without Andrea Echeverri's genius, obviously). And yes, I admit the final mix ended up with more echo than the caves of Chichén Itzá. But hey, art has no rules!

Recording confessions:

I used a cuatro that a friend gave me and I'll never let go (spoiler: sometimes it has weird tuning)

My "Colombian accent" came out more hillbilly-paisa than anything else

I recorded with a wird phone mic (budget didn't allow for real mic)

The backing vocals were done in the bathroom... and it shows.

Just for fun, really. I've always loved how Aterciopelados mixed traditional and experimental sounds. My version sounds more like a "failed experiment," but the process was hilarious.

Fun fact: When I showed the demo to my mom, she asked if it was "that new music young people like" or if I'd been poisoned by mercury.
Is it worth listening to?

Well... depends:
✅ If you like weird sounds (think "Florecita Rockera" through a fax machine)
✅ If you're a fan of musical oddities with accidental sound
❌ If you're my third-floor neighbor (I already bought you earplugs)

In the end, this is music made with love and zero pretension. Like my grandma used to say: "What matters isn't singing well, but singing from the heart..." And if Andrea Echeverri ever hears this, I hope she laughs with me, not at me.
