I've been getting back into music all year

Introduction

Hello, this post is one of many documenting a process related to a project with various sub-achievements. @Carmenrivas left a comment on the last one, inviting me to share them with this community. Thanks for the suggestion, as it aligns with what I'm sharing in this series of blogs.

It might seem like I've been getting back into music all year, but I've actually been documenting a process. The blogs that have focused on this journey of changing my way of thinking and acting are titled "Borrón y Cuenta Nueva" in each entry. I think the expression that would be used in English is "Go back to the drawing board."

Music

Outside the topic of social awareness in my local environment regarding the economy through musical activities, music is something that truly interests me. A universal language that I genuinely enjoy and understand easily. When I realized I had musical intelligence, I didn't pay much attention to it. Today, I feel fortunate and have outlined a plan to pursue it.

At the beginning of this blog series, I mentioned that my goal is to study music at a university or something similar. While organizing that idea, I have been taking courses and workshops related to other areas, such as marketing and technology. This is because I feel they are helpful and complement the musical project.

I have studied music before. Where I studied, the most experienced teacher told us that to enter a university, we would have to go through a kind of music secondary school, and what we were learning at the technical school we attended was equivalent to elementary school. I obtained a degree as a technical musician in acoustic guitar endorsed by the Ministry of Education.

To obtain it, I had to go through 6 levels, each lasting a quarter, which consisted of 1 theoretical class and another practical instrument training. Each area had an independent exam. In addition to that, to receive my degree, I had to participate in a concert.

About 8 years ago, I made my only significant foray into the realm of my musical intelligence. Since then, I abandoned it.

Developing in the musical niche also relates to maintaining balance in all my areas, as studying "this" will require resources that I have to acquire.

And from that idea, a community of friends was born, called Ulkivia.

Ulkivia

I had the idea to do something related to what I excel at, combined with my talents.

At the moment, the project has a community focus, and I have been shaping it in recent months. Creating networks and giving free talks on technology in different parts of the city.

I have attracted some interested participants and created a Spanish-language group on Telegram. The primary focus is to educate about technology, learn how to overcome the challenges that arise on the internet and understand the tools we have at hand to develop in our area. This is because my city is in the plains, in very rural areas, and this has created a demand for technological knowledge.

In this city, there are many new ventures, so this "Ulkivia" project has taken a "people are like vitamins" approach, which involves creating a community and providing value with services. In this community, there are enthusiasts of audiovisuals, community managers, facilitators, winemakers, traffickers, chocolate makers, technology enthusiasts, musicians, and more who will join.

This entire project is based on the Japanese concept of "ikigai."

Experience

I identify with those who want to learn something new and contribute to others with their talents.

The learning and training community in the world is quite welcoming. It's there for you to help you reach your full potential and surpass yourself each time.

That's why I feel comfortable and find it in line with what I want to convey, just like with music. The idea that everyone has something to contribute and that there are tools and people to help you develop in this world is simply fantastic.

This experience clearly falls within the "Start from Scratch" theme since it stems from the need to clear the mental landscape by erasing all mental clutter, and then, with a clean slate, plant something new.

At the moment, I am still extracting the idea from chaos. I feel it has potential and is something that will persist as it is linked to my "Go back to the drawing board" process.

Closing

I wish everyone an excellent end to the year and hope that the opening of the coming year brings us more gifts, experiences, and developments so that we can do what we love and express ourselves limitlessly in our field.

A special thanks to all the moderators in the HIVE ecosystem, to Dr. Octavia Alegría, to Anne, to @ragaroot, to @not-here, to the Serarte academy (Eduardo and @aldara), to Jai, to @nathanilous, to @anicris, to Lin, to @manublog, to Eduar (vlogsinfiltro) for being part of this year and for all the gifts they have given.

As the legendary Rui Torres would say, "You don't have to be an expert to be a great artist."

And what this phrase really conveys is that you can indeed start and leave your mark as you progress toward becoming an expert. Don't limit yourself by thinking you "can't." Cheers!
