Yazoo - my first synthesizer vinyl i bought in 1982 in da mix and Alison
War das mal geile Musik 1982 - tausendmal besser als Depeche Mode (wobei Vince damals dort auch dabei war - ich sehe Vince eh als den Mastermind hinter dem eigentlichen DM, wäre besser gewesen mit Ihm).
Wrote already about it I think - this is about da mix and an older Alison Moyet :-)
Bought this in 1982, 45inches as a red vinyl colour version (not bother you again with the photo if it) - most people here do have no idea probably that music in my youth was usually played via vinyl singles (45") or album 33"on hardware tools - these guys usually called DJs were the pavemakers of an entire industry - this was before there been digital sounds such as CD (even hardware a first digital one) before mp3, mp4 of any digital format came to life.
Alison performing live in Berlin
The lovely Alison had a career thereafter not related to that synthi sounds, glad to see she is still performing and according to Wikipedia she has big plans:
Moyet will release a new album Key on 4 October 2024. The albums contains 16 reworked singles and deep cuts, alongside two brand new tracks. A single, "Such Small Ale", will premiere on Vernon Kay's mid-morning show on BBC Radio 2 and BBC Sounds 13 June 2024. In June 2024, Moyet launched a podcast, 40 Moyet Moments, a 40-part podcast series where she discusses key moments of her career.Moyet will embark on a world tour in 2025.

Here the original as extended version from 1982!
What is CD?
I can not explain it better as Wikipedia :-):
The compact disc (CD) is a digital optical disc data storage format that was co-developed by Philips and Sony to store and play digital audio recordings. It uses the Compact Disc Digital Audio format which typically provides 74 minutes of audio on a disc.

But the real vinyl is much more interesting
The hard disks you had to put on players and check what size require which speed, mainly 33 or 45 RPM - that was the time I grew up with music and this hard ware manual stuff made me to become a DJ.

We saw Alison Moyet live a few years ago. She has slimmed down a bit, but still sounds great. She and Vince made a great combination. My sister had their first album back before CD was even a thing.
Yeah - I bought the 45 incher where music cassette was the new thing :-)
