Pop Classic #8 Funkytown - One Hit Wonder?

Ein Song, den ich als Kind hörte zuhause, im TV, dann in Schuldiscos und selbst heute verfolgt mich dieses Lied - dachte aus Holland, aber nein, doch aus den US Ecken, wunder mich - mehr ausser was Wikipedia sagt konnte ich kaum rausfinden.

Really was surprised after deep diving - this project stems from the US (not a fit in my view but interesting) - read for yourself waht wikipedia says (but as a comms guy I know not eveything on Wikipedia is true as companies and their agencies usually edit that):
