They could have been much bigger, but without proper support or production it was difficult to make it very far in the music world in that era. Record companies pump money into bands they know they will see returns, and are much more careful with smaller bands because they may not see that ROI. These days bands can find a following with social media, but it was a different world back in the 90's!
