RE: Say please.

Subconsciously, it does something to our reasoning process when we hear the word "please". For me it's usually putting more attention to what is being asked and figuring out ways to go above and beyond to get it done. When I'm the one saying it, I must be in a really down bad situation to utter it but it's almost like second nature to say "thank you" for almost everything I received, be it earned or not, significant or not.

Amy Winehouse's song is a real classic, especially with that setting and those costumes! I love the beat, it's constant throughout the song with a few variations in intensity :)

Interesting. I got so used to being asked for favors (mainly for money loans) that I sometimes cringe when I hear the word "please" 😅 But that depends on the person.

Why is it difficult for you to ask for favors?

Lol, yes. The reaction can change from person to person :D

It's mostly around the perceived concept of not being a burden to someone else or indirectly falling into those type of favours that people subconsciously keep score of, meaning now I owe them one too, and they'll come asking for it whenever they may need it. Essentially, it's sort of like being in debt, but in a less tangible sense.

The keeping score is interesting, I know that from many. It's a flawed concept, the one of keeping scores. I try not to keep any scores at all, but help when I can, if I can. There are things that we should not be handled with a trader-mentality. I just wrote a post about generosity, that explains a little more.
