I saw this film and honestly it is the most bizarre version of beauty and the beast, plus the resolution of the mistreatment issue just didn't convince me at all.

+1 A weird adaptation is one thing, if there's a story idea that's also well-executed, I can ignore it. Or maybe even like the different style? But when the resolution to the main plot is as poor as it is here, I can't stand it.
