The Tragic Undead Origin of Trash Queen (JURN Lore)

🎙️ “You won’t live to see peace… but you can sing forever.”

Before she was Trash Queen, she was Ava—a rising star with a velvet voice on the brink of war. Vox De Gaunt made her an offer: immortality… but at what cost?

This animated slideshow short tells their story—from smoky USO lounges to far-future space bars, from deals in alleyways to undead rock shows across galaxies.

đź’€ A tragic horror-punk origin myth.
🎸 A visual track from The Crypt Collection by The JURN.
🧟‍♀️ Inspired by 80s comics, vintage horror, and undead glam.

This is Vox De Gaunt. Logging... hell, I don't know. Stardate irrelevant. Century forgotten. Whatever’s left of me still thinks in years, even though the clocks stopped mattering a long time ago.

I’ve played a thousand stages since the war. Since Earth burned.
Since she said yes.

Before she was Trash Queen, she was Ava.
Velvet voice. Eyes like static before a storm.
She could have survived the war.
Could’ve hidden. Could’ve run.

But I stepped in.

I told her I could make it last.
Not life.
Just the voice.

She thought I was offering a spotlight.
I gave her a tomb.

I didn’t know it back then.
That when the soul crosses the veil, something gets lost.
You can bring back the body. Even the tone.
But that divine flaw—that thing that makes a voice legendary?

Gone.

She came back screaming.
And she’s never stopped.

They call her Trash Queen now.
She earns it. Wrecks hotel rooms. Rips through venues like a banshee in heels.
She still sings—but she hates the silence after.

We played together, off and on.
I thought maybe she’d stabilize.
Maybe I could fix what I broke.

But you don’t fix a ghost.
You just learn to live with the haunt.

Sometimes... when the ship’s quiet,
I watch old footage.

Her last show.
Before the deal.
Before the fire.
When her voice still cracked like thunder instead of mourning.

She never knew I kept the tapes.
She never asked.

Maybe that’s for the best.

I’ve made deals since then.
More singers. More promises.

But I’ve never offered forever again.
Not like that.

If you’re hearing this...
If this signal’s bouncing around some satellite graveyard...

Just remember:

Not all immortality is worth it.

And not every ghost wants saving.

Vox out.
