Satisfaction

Running so that Thursday (#TBT) does not escape me and to be able to share the memory that I had destined for today, my technological devices decided to play the dirty trick of being incompatible and not wanting to read each other to make me spend hours to get some photos and videos that I had saved on an external hard drive, of the Rolling Stone concert in Havana. The culprit of that is @nanixxx, who since her publication of this mythical concert, awakened in me the anxiety of reliving those moments. I don't have her spectacular photos, they are just memories of what it was and meant for the thousands of us who gathered in the same space to enjoy world anthems that have marked decades of youthful irreverence.

The adrenaline, serotonin, dopamine and cortisol in my body were watered in an inexplicable cocktail when we arrived at the Sports City in Havana, in its outdoor grounds a mega stage was installed so that those of us who were at a distance of 400 meters could see from giant screens all the energy that Mick Jagger was able to transmit with his sexagenarian sensuality.

We left early from home, and we had to walk all along 26th street from Vedado to the Sports City -about 4 km-, but we did not feel the distance or the tiredness. We were going; my son, a friend and a Spanish couple who were staying at home and had come to Havana especially to go to the concert. When we arrived, it was around 6:00 p.m., there were already thousands of people. Along the way we met friends and acquaintances at every turn, but in the crowd I recognized many people. Friends who had left decades ago to migrate and were here fulfilling something they had wanted since they were teenagers, and they wore their long hair tuning in to the FM radio signal coming from the USA to listen to the rock songs that were forbidden in our beloved island.

Needless to say how much we enjoyed it that day, but time has passed, and I still "can't get satisfaction", and not for what we experienced in those moments of euphoria that meant the meeting of so many humans in the same vibration, but for everything that has come after. Seeing the crises pass one after another and accumulate to form a mountain difficult to climb at this time leaves me unable to get satisfaction in a world where the challenges of survival are growing, and technological changes are leaving a considerable number of people on the sidelines.

I am grateful to have for many years in my life the practice of Yoga, I go to the blanket every day to drain through the Asanas and breathing all the arsenal of emotions accumulated by not getting satisfaction.
