It is true that the animation is not so good, but I think it fulfills its purpose.

The shamisen performances there were something that I thought (at first) would be boring, but it turns out entertaining and emotionally provoking. It indeed did fulfill its purpose because, even though it's not that really visually great, the integration between music and animation turned out well.
