Hello friends of Hive Open Mic, I am very glad to be back here again after a very long absence. It was unplanned, but in all, I am happy to be back, and I hope to have a good time as usual with all of you, promoting world peace through your musical talents.

Hola amigos de Hive Open Mic, estoy muy feliz de estar de regreso aquí después de una larga ausencia. No fue planeada, pero en general, estoy feliz de estar de vuelta y espero pasar un buen momento como de costumbre con todos ustedes, promoviendo la paz mundial a través de sus talentos musicales.

This week our theme is "Quaresma," which translates to "Lent" in English. For those who may not be familiar with this concept, it is a period of forty days designated by the Catholic Church to commemorate the forty days of fasting that Jesus undertook in the desert, as narrated by the Scriptures. Beyond fasting from food, it also serves as a time to abstain from habits and vices that weigh us down and hold us back on our journey of faith. What a beautiful time! It reflects the adage that an unexamined life is not worth living. Although it originates from the Catholic tradition, I personally believe it is a time for everyone, Christian or not, to look inward and prepare themselves to become the best they can be and to lead a positive life.

Esta semana nuestro tema es "Quaresma," que se traduce como "Cuaresma" en español. Para aquellos que no estén familiarizados con este concepto, es un período de cuarenta días designado por la Iglesia Católica para conmemorar los cuarenta días de ayuno que Jesús realizó en el desierto, como lo narran las Escrituras. Más allá del ayuno de alimentos, también es un tiempo para abstenerse de hábitos y vicios que nos agobian y nos frenan en nuestro camino de fe. ¡Qué tiempo tan hermoso! Refleja el adagio que dice que una vida no examinada no vale la pena vivirla. Aunque se origina en la tradición católica, personalmente creo que es un tiempo para que todos, cristianos o no, miren hacia adentro y se preparen para convertirse en la mejor versión de sí mismos y llevar una vida positiva.

For me, there is no better song that captures this theme of "Quaresma" than a beautiful song by Agnes, titled "Dime Rey." It is a song that narrates the deep mystery behind the seemingly cruel death of Christ. As you can tell from the title, it is a Spanish song. I performed it with my acoustic guitar, and I hope you enjoy it.

Para mí, no hay mejor canción que capture este tema de "Quaresma" que una hermosa canción de Agnes, titulada "Dime Rey." Es una canción que narra el profundo misterio detrás de la aparentemente cruel muerte de Cristo. Como se puede notar por el título, es una canción en español. La interpreté con mi guitarra acústica y espero que la disfruten.
