RE: I'm leaving Spotify (and Apple, Amazon and YouTube as well)

I want to start a vinyl collection, but at the same time, I don't have the space. My sister in law has a great collection of vinyl, It is so wonderful to thumb through it, find something and listen to an album in the order the artist intended.
I still do that with digital music, but not a lot of people do.
All the money in music these days seems to be in merch and live. I try to see as much live music as possible, and I still have band merch that I wear daily that I purchased 10+ years ago.
We don't get nearly as many tours as I like down this way (for the music that I enjoy, at least) - but - I look forward to supporting your upcoming music in whatever form I can, even if it is through my meagre upvotes here.
In response to the later part of your video - and buying music - I have often purchased music from small artist websites and usually get the really nice touches - a hand written thank you, or an apology that it took so long to get sent - because, y'know what, those people are living their lives, and are entitled to do that.
It also creates aa stronger sense of connection to the human behind the work. Grateful that you're on hive!
I feel the same and thanks a lot for your support!
I'm a big collector of digital music too and I always try to help people see the pros of buying and owning digital tracks and albums.
Now you gave me the idea that I could upload my music here, as lyrics video or something similar. Because the upvotes I get here worth more than streaming anyway 🤷🏻♂️
You just need people to do "harbiter fan art" like Splinterlands and Holozing, take a beneficiary, and you're set ;)
Don't know anything about this 😅 I'll see
