I'm leaving Spotify (and Apple, Amazon and YouTube as well)
I finally make this choice. It's been a while since I was thinking about it and this is the perfect moment to do it.
I don't want my music to contribute to war, genocides and explotation of entire populations; neither contribute to a system that devalues music and musicians.
My music is worth more than a fraction of a cent. I'm off.

That's a good one you have good plan for the society 👍
Good move! I will follow you where ever you post your amazing creations!
KEEP MAKING MORE!
I really do get it. I have some music on there, but I don't make anything from it. I buy a fair bit on Bandcamp who seem to have some morals. We need to encourage more artists to use alternatives to the big corporations who are in deep with all sorts of nasty stuff. Support those who support music.
!BEER
Absolutely. I think that artists should educate their audience to buy, build their own library and bring the right value back to the music again
I think it's time To come back to physical releases, vinyls and tapes are making a huge comeback, I hope the trend gets traction
Not that simple. You want to end all relations with Amazon but you have published a post with 3peak.tv. 3speak's traceroute indicates that it uses AWS (Amazon Web Service).

I want to start a vinyl collection, but at the same time, I don't have the space. My sister in law has a great collection of vinyl, It is so wonderful to thumb through it, find something and listen to an album in the order the artist intended.
I still do that with digital music, but not a lot of people do.
All the money in music these days seems to be in merch and live. I try to see as much live music as possible, and I still have band merch that I wear daily that I purchased 10+ years ago.
We don't get nearly as many tours as I like down this way (for the music that I enjoy, at least) - but - I look forward to supporting your upcoming music in whatever form I can, even if it is through my meagre upvotes here.
In response to the later part of your video - and buying music - I have often purchased music from small artist websites and usually get the really nice touches - a hand written thank you, or an apology that it took so long to get sent - because, y'know what, those people are living their lives, and are entitled to do that.
It also creates aa stronger sense of connection to the human behind the work. Grateful that you're on hive!
You reminded me of a singer from my country, Venezuela. He was censored for his lyrics, which contained revolutionary content about peace and social justice. However, that didn't stop people from buying his records clandestinely. Today, he's known as the People's Singer. When it comes to the truth, it's often censored, and that's often the work of these companies. I find what you're saying very interesting; many of these companies are affiliated with war lobbies. Anyone who tracks the money will realize that the big monopolies finance wars to sustain their economies.
