RE: Say please.

There was / is a coffee shop in the city called "Please Say Please". I don't drink coffee, so I don't go in there, but it is a striking name for a business.

I decided to listen to the Winehouse song, because I never have. With the knowledge that she is a dead woman - and the imagery of the music video - it adds an additional layer of context.

The cinematography is very well done too, can really tell that there was a unified, intentional force behind the video, the music, and the delivery of the performance.

Wow, you're the second person commenting that didn't know Amy Winehouse. That's weird to me. She was a great musician, a genius perhaps, but life does not treat a genius kindly. Stepping out of Plato's cave so far from everyone else must be hard.

I honestly never focused too much on the video. I'm happy that you enjoyed it, and found value in it. I will do a focused rewatch (and hearing!) tomorrow, when I'm a little less tired.

Maybe I should watch the biopic about her life. Have you seen it, is it any good?

I don't know, haven't seen it. I wasn't even aware it existed... 😅
