Hive Music Festival Week 163 - Round 1 // Everybody's Changing (Ukelele and voice cover)
Hey, friends! How are you? Happy Saturday! It's a pleasure for me to be here once again on these stages that are so important to me on the platform, where I've been given the opportunity to be myself, to present myself individually, and to thank you for all the love you've given me since day one. Today I'm here with a very special cover of a song that I love very much. It was released in 2004, quite a while ago now; I would have been around 10 or 11 years old. And I feel that, as I always say with the many songs I bring here, it never goes out of style. It's by a super iconic alternative rock band called “Keane.”
The song I'm bringing you today, covered on my ukulele, is called “Everybody's Changing,” and I adapted it as much as possible. This song has beautiful lyrics and a beautiful meaning, and I think I connect with these lyrics a lot for a few reasons. It's because, well, it's about melancholy, about the progress of life, about the evolution of people, about what's left in the past, about the things that are moving forward, and that, well, everything is a cycle in this life.

Es un placer para mí estar una vez más acá en estos escenarios que son los más importantes para mí en la plataforma, donde me han dado la oportunidad de ser yo, de presentarme de forma individual, y agradecerles por todo el cariño que me han dado desde el día uno. Este día vengo con un cover muy especial, de una canción que me encanta muchísimo. Fue lanzada en el año 2004, tiene ya bastante tiempo; yo tendría alrededor de unos 10 o 11 años. Y siento que, como siempre digo con las tantas canciones que traigo acá, nunca pasa de moda. Es una banda súper emblemática de rock alternativo, llamada "Keane".
La canción que les traigo hoy versionada a mi ukelele, le hice la mayor adaptación posible, se llama "Everybody's Changing". Esta canción tiene una letra preciosa, un significado hermosísimo, y creo que conecto muchísimo con esta letra por algunas razones. Es porque, bueno, se trata de la melancolía, de los avances de la vida, de la evolución de las personas, de aquello que quedó en el pasado, de las cosas que van avanzando, y que bueno, que todo es un ciclo en esta vida.

I have been through some situations where, well, sometimes nostalgia for the past, nostalgia for living abroad for so long, then losing certain friends who were perhaps very important to me because of the distance, has been a little... or has been hard. But I guess it's part of the process we all go through in life. Similarly, for me, they will always be in my heart, despite the distances, and especially the changes that this last year and the past year have brought to my life. Everything for the better, really. I'm very happy about that. That's why I bring you this song with a lot of affection and love, and I hope you like it. Have a nice Saturday!
Precisamente yo he pasado por algunas situaciones en las que, bueno, a veces la nostalgia del pasado, la nostalgia de estar tanto tiempo viviendo afuera, luego perder ciertos amigos que quizás eran muy importantes para mí por la distancia, ha sido un poco... o ha sido duro. Pero supongo que es parte del proceso que todos vivimos en la vida. De igual forma, para mí ellos siempre estarán en mi corazón, a pesar de las distancias, y sobre todo los cambios que ha traído este último año y el pasado para mi vida. Todo para bien, la verdad que sí. Contentísima por eso. Es así como traigo esta canción con mucho cariño y mucho amor, y espero que les guste. ¡Que tengan un bonito sábado!
