DPR IAN: KOREAN R&B (ENG/ESP)

Christian Yu is an Australian artist and one of the members of the DPR (Dream Perfect Regime) project, a group that creates, directs, produces and edits music and videos.

Christian Yu es un artista australiano y uno de los integrantes del proyecto DPR (Dream Perfect Regime), un grupo que encarga de crear, dirigir, producir y editar música y vídeos.

In the songs of DPR IAN we can meet the different faces and personalities of Christian YU, these are based on 3 main characters: IAN, MITO and MR. INSANITY.

First we have Ian, the most human of the characters, at first glance he is a boy like any other, with his own problems and difficulties.

En las canciones de DPR IAN podemos conocer las diferentes caras y personalidades de Christian YU, estas están basadas en 3 personajes principales: IAN, MITO e MR. INSANITY.

Primeramente tenemos a Ian, el más humano de los personajes, a simple vista es un chico como cualquier otro, con sus propios problemas y dificultades.

In an interview he said:

"Overall, I wanted to portray a character who deals with various mental disorders that can be seen as negative or dark in a realistic sense, but at the same time can also be seen as superpowers from a different perspective. It's also a reflection of a lot of what I As a person, being someone who deals with these types of 'mental disorders,' I wanted to remove that stigma and just put an artistic spin on it, because at the end of the day, to me it's all expression."

En una entrevista dijo:

"En general, quería retratar a un personaje que se enfrenta a diversos trastornos mentales que pueden considerarse negativos u oscuros en un sentido realista, pero que al mismo tiempo también pueden verse como superpoderes desde una perspectiva diferente. In SO BEAUTIFUL we see Mito personified, a dark character whose characteristic color is black, he is missing an eye and is known to have committed a crime. Yet for Ian, mito is considered a hero since he is the one who appears in those moments that Ian cannot assimilate. Here is an excerpt from So Beautiful, which in my opinion is the best:

En SO BEAUTIFUL vemos a Mito personificado, un personaje oscuro cuyo color característico es el negro, le falta un ojo y se sabe que ha cometido un crimen. Aún así para Ian, mito es considerado un héroe ya que él es quien aparece en esos momentos que Ian no puede asimilar. Aquí les dejó un fragmento de So Beautiful que a mi parecer es la mejor:

The song NERVES tells us about those mistakes that have been made and the bad decisions made in the past, we see that there is regret even though there is no turning back and in ¨Scaredy Cat,¨ we see a little bit about what anxiety is and all the emotions that this entails.

La canción ¨Nerves¨ nos cuenta esos errores que se han cometido y a las malas decisiones que tomó en el pasado, se ve que hay arrepentimiento aunque ya no haya vuelta atrás y en ¨Scaredy Cat,¨ vemos un poco sobre lo que es la ansiedad y todas las emociones que esto conlleva.

NO SLHILOUTE tells us about what it is to lose oneself in one's own mind. Before continuing I must clarify something and that is that one of the basic principles of character creation is that this must have a silhouette that defines it, if a character is not recognizable only by its silhouette then it is because it is not finished. So if the same song is called ¨Sin silueta¨ means that Ian shows us through his music what it is to feel divided, even being the same body there are different personalities inside your mind.

NO SLHILOUTE nos habla sobre lo que es el perderse a uno mismo en su propia mente. Antes de continuar debo aclarar algo y es que uno de los principios básicos de la creación de personajes es que este debe tener una silueta que lo defina, si un personaje no es reconocible solo por sus silueta entonces es porque este no está terminado. Así que si la misma canción se llama ¨Sin silueta¨ significa que Ian nos muestra a través de su música lo que es sentirse divido, aún siendo un mismo cuerpo se encuentran distintas personalidades dentro de tu mente.
