My point of view on Q Inspired-by-Music: The time has come to give back a little love...

Courtesy-Souced by...

Many, perhaps too many times, I've been tempted to explain why I'm particularly fond of this community on Hive: Q Inspired-by-Music. Normally, I usually post here. Moreover, I take this opportunity to salute the person who recommended me to do so, since he knew how much I love talking about music and sharing about it. @dimascastillo90, this greeting is for you. And I have no words other than "thank you" for spreading the word about this amazing niche. Now then, why is this an important community for me? Well you see, I've always considered myself a sort of amateur music lover/musician. For me, music is an art that is beyond sound....

That is, it's not just the melodies and harmonies that we all love. It goes way beyond that. It is the memories, good and bad, sweet and bitter of my existence. It is the melancholy and the different emotional and human aspects that I treasure and that I attribute to the magic of music. Talking about it (music) is not only something that comes to me innately, but I see it as a necessity. And while there are other communities to better develop these topics, what I love about Q Inspired, is the freedom to share without the pretense of those, who in one way or another want to correct or place themselves above you for being musicians.

In other words, what I have found here is peace, freedom, understanding, and incredible talent. Without going that far, @whywhy, is a perfect example of how wonderful constant music recommendation can be. He's a guy who doesn't stop doing it. He is not repetitive and always brings us a repertoire that is as varied as it is necessary. I have learned a lot of sounds and artists from him. And I always value his point of view and opinions when we meet in one of the posts. Honestly, I recommend you to follow him and pay attention to the work he does, almost daily in this little piece of space.

Now, this post is also born from me, and from those things that for one reason or another I didn't do on time last year. That is to say, I am a person who believes in the power of gratitude, and at the same time, I feel a need to connect with certain places and characteristics that honestly inspire me to write. This community is one of those. In fact, for my last post of the year that just ended, I almost uploaded it here.... Evidently, I didn't, but several times I came close to doing it.

You see, why am I so fond of this niche? Because here I've talked about Dua Lipa, Michael Jackson (yes, with all that that brings...) Madonna, rock and roll, black music and especially electronic music. I've shared playlists with you from Halloween, to be happy, sad, reflective; etc... I've even, if memory serves me correctly, posted to be somewhat sad and nihilistic. And I've reread those posts, and found them to be excellent.... I mean, not everything about music should be happiness and joy. Someone, too, must write and scrutinize beyond the mainstream; for the "outsiders" of the world, don't you think?

It is through the sense of community, the warm welcomes and feedback I have received in this community, that I have cultivated a gigantic love and respect for those people who make this what it is. Also, the underground and independent feel that it still retains, is something I absolutely love. It reminds me of the places where all the artistic currents once started. They weren't mainstream, they weren't everyone's cup of tea, and yet they still saw the milestones of contemporary music grow that marked each and every one of us.

On Hive, two things are not in abundance. And although I'm a relatively new person on this network, I've learned that both talent and kindness are two things that don't seem to be cultivated well here. Unfortunately, I feel that the rules that are imposed in many communities restrict the ability of authors to express themselves freely. And at the same time, they undermine the very genesis of blogging. Clearly, I understand why they are made and under what logic they should be applied. I myself consider myself to be sick of order; but when it comes to the intangible (writing, expressing, sensations, emotions) it is impossible to delimit everything and expect it to be automated.

One of the few niches that I don't find overly invasive, Q Inspired-by-Music is one of those where you feel the value of a community. Once upon a time, at some distant point in time; in Latin America, there was a social network (Taringa!) whose slogan was "Collective Intelligence". It promoted cooperation, brotherhood and above all freedom through responsibility. I think that unconsciously, Q Inspired, takes me there. Here you can find reflective works about a day in nature and Beethoven in the same post (I haven't forgotten about you, dear friend @mipiano) and at the same time, witness a cover of Korn or Luis Miguel.

Not once have I ever read that anyone has ever made a pass at another user. There is camaraderie and above all, a spirit of learning that is touching. It makes you humble. Both to teach and to learn. And yes, I know, you'll tell me the goal is to entertain and make some money along the way; and you're probably right, but it's also to be substantial; whole, with meaning. Something that seems to me far more transcendental than I can possibly be able to express. Finally, I say goodbye (for now) but not before thanking (once again) all the authors who make life here; and please, don't forget, not even for a second, the treasure we have here for everyone.

Long live music, literature and above all freedom

A is for the Apple I eat every day
Q is for Quality Inspired-by-Music where I can´t stay away

Thank you for the lovely call-out bot on me but mainly on Q. I know it´s just a little community here on HIVE but it´s the one I love best. I have been experimenting with writing and music for years but Q has given me a real podium and a place where I think my stuff really fits.

In addition I love the rules- no rules mentality and see how as long as you don't grow too fast there is no need for rules and quality floats to the surface.

Anyway love your piece (and your choice and ideas about music)!

What a coincidence! I just finished listening to Ben E King stand by me when I came across your post talking about it as well. That song is truly magical, same as a lot of songs from that era. I'm in my mid-20s but I really love songs from the likes of Lionel Richie, Marvin Gaye, ABBA, Michael Jackson, and a lot of other popular singers from the 80s and 90s
