I have never been too fond of reggae, nor of the subculture that covers this genre, but I must confess that they have got one thing right; the beach, in the company of this musical genre, equals serenity. And this is something I was able to experience last weekend when I went to the beach for a whole day. This time I went alone. I needed a break from the routine of an increasingly harsh and indifferent city....
It's probably the same for you too, wherever you live, dear friend, but meeting Mr. Marley was totally accidental. I had no intention of being surrounded by his beats, but right next to my tent was a group of somewhat hippie friends, who you could say loved Bob. Especially his eternal friend Mary Janes, if you know what I mean. They were a couple of guys in their early twenties. God, I'm starting to sound like my mother.

The sea, as perhaps everyone already knows, is definitely too hypnotic. You look at it from a distance, and it doesn't take long to detail how splendid and magical it is. From my point of view, it is the best skyline my senses can capture. Beautiful wherever you look. The sand, the warm spring sunshine and the smells; that between the mixture of sea salt and even the smoke of smoked fish, made the experience feel perfect; ideal, beautiful.
Confess that I accompanied my contemplation of the sights with a couple of beers. It was a totally impulsive trip. I saw an opportune moment and took advantage of it. I wanted to be alone, to walk, to sleep more than 6 hours and to be able to be in deep peace for a moment. Don't believe it, the myth of adulthood is too heavy a cross to bear. And while I am not one to complain, I am one to find moments for pleasure and the right balance between duty and peace of mind.

Again, for most of the 25 hours I was on the beach, Mr. Marley was with me. We called a truce. I put aside my detachment from hippie culture, and he provided me with hit after hit. At the end of the day, I can assure you that Bob Marley and The Wailers is not a bad band, not bad at all, in fact. Good songs and in such a nice setting as the beach, I appreciate having opened myself up to new possibilities. Sometimes that's what life is all about, finding the right balance, don't you think?
Nice stay at the beach. You really relaxed in the cool weather
Amazing pics ...
