We are happy to announce that we are adding a new function to the main BlockTunes site! You can now purchase and download music using Hive, HBD, and MUSIC tokens using Hivepay from the CTP group! When an artist uses the BlockTunes Release Service there is a new feature that allows fans to purchase a song or album using a Hivepay and direct download!

With this feature, users actually do not need to sign up for a BlockTunes account on the site. The problem with this is that there isn't a way to attach a download to your Hive account. You will be sent after purchase to the actual file where you will have the option to download, which you will want to do immediately. The solution is that when we receive a notification about your purchase, we will send you the link for the download in the form of an encrypted memo in a Hive transaction. This way you will always have the link to the file in your wallet.

What is great about this feature is that you are paying the artist directly, and there is a setting that will also send 5% of the sale to the @blocktunesdao account! This makes revenue splits automatic!

Here you can see that in our test run, @groove-logic received 95% of the sale:

And the @blocktunesdao received its 5% that will be put into HBD savings that will generate revenue for the DAO and MUSIC and BTUNES token holders!

This is just another exciting integration of the Hive blockchain into our ever-growing BlockTunes platform!
