Our Hive blockchain-based marketplace is a great place for musicians to come and mint music NFTs and fans can come and purchase limited edition tunes as well as have the possibility of having limited reproduction rights to use the songs in videos, vlogs, and other commercial purposes.

NFTs are minted and purchased using the $MUSIC token. This token can be earned by getting involved in our community, purchased from the market, claimed from our Tribaldex claim drop, or earned through Hive Power delegation to the @blocktunes or @blocktunesdao accounts.

Let's take a look at how easy it is for whitelisted musicians to mint their music as NFTs and sell them on our NFT Marketplace.

Minting MUSIC NFTs On Our Hive Marketplace

Go to our front end on the Hive blockchain, https://hive.blocktunes.net/nfts, and select the Mint option. You will have to make sure you are not only signed into the platform with your Hive account, you will be asked to login to the marketplace.

Once logged in and if you are whitelisted, you will see the window to start filling in your information and upload your NFT media.

There is a fee to mint Music NFTs it is a base fee of 4 MUSIC tokens plus 1 MUSIC for each edition.

You can select what type of medium you are using, Audio, Images, or Videos. For music, you will mainly use Audio or Video.

The Thumbnail is the preview image. This would be your cover art. The other file would be your actual audio.

Once you have your media uploaded, you will fill out the information for your song. One thing you will have to create is a collection. If this is an album, this is a great place to put the name of the album, and then upload each song with it. For this particular example, it is a single, so the collection 'Singles' was created for @groove-logic. Everyone will have their own collections.

At the end of the form, you will have to agree with the terms and conditions that is the agreement that the work you are minting is your work, no bad stuff, etc. The one agreement that we are okay with bending is the tokenizing this piece again, with this, the only exception will be if you are a BlockTunes PRO and also mint the work on our Polygon NFT Marketplace ONLY.

Once you hit the mint button, you will see a processing window then a congratulation message. After this you will be able to go and view your NFT.

That's it! You have minted your Music NFT! Now let's look at how to sell it!

Selling Your Music NFTs

Once minted, you will be able to see the details, and below you will see a list of the token editions. Here is where you will click the shopping cart button to initiate the sell.

Once you have the editions selected, click the cart button at the top of the screen and you will see your different options, Burn, Sell, Transfer.

If you are selling these tokens, hit the sell button and set a price for each edition priced in MUSIC tokens. Remember, the more MUSIC tokens you earn and stake, the more SWAP.HBD you will earn from our @blocktunesdao payouts starting January 2023.

Once you set your price and click sell, you will be taken to the marketplace where you will see your NFTs live on the market!
