Inspiration and joy 💃 Malaga Fair 2023
Greetings to all the Q Inspired-by-Music community, this is the first time I post here and I love to do it.
A few days ago the fair that characterizes my city took place in my city. Once a year, in the month of August, the streets get dressed up and the joy is noticeable wherever you walk.
But especially in the street Marqués de Larios there are songs, coplas, dances, verdiales and a lot of music that are part of the folklore of this place.
I have been living in Spain for five years, and I came from Argentina. My grandfather was Spanish, born in Madrid and travelled to Argentina when he was only two years old, with all his family of origin.
As a child and even as an adult he listened to Spanish songs and music.
I attended the fair with my mother, who was behind me while I was filming.
When I finished filming I turned around and she was crying. I asked her what was going on, why she was crying, and she told me that all this brought back many memories of my grandfather, who used to sing these songs, and all that emotion, which my mother expressed at that moment, was inspired by this music, by the lyrics, the dances and the atmosphere of joy.
That day, the sounds, the joy, the songs, but above all the guitars dancing with their folkloric sounds, touched my mother and also my memories of my family, who left this land many years ago, in 1927, and today we are here living its culture in the flesh.
The colours, the happy people, made for a very special atmosphere and energy.
My mother was crying with emotion, tears were falling, but she knew that many memories of anecdotes that my grandfather told were now being lived.
It was a very special moment that inspired the music of this land, of its people and the joy is very contagious.
Booths with different articles flooded the street, but one caught my attention, one from which hung many guitars in the midst of a lot of colour.
Further along a group of people played more music, arranged in a circle and people crowded around this group.
Every step we took, we found people singing and dancing, and of course lots of people, especially women, dressed in the typical flamenco dress.
It was a lovely outing and a nice chat with my mother, where she told me about her childhood experiences when she saw my grandfather and her grandmother listening to this kind of music, even though they were not originally from Andalusia.
A lot of history is lost in time, but I like to know as much as I can about my ancestors and their experiences.
I was walking, but I was looking at her and her happy face as she listened to all that singing behind the joyful music was unquenchable. Even if that happiness showed through so much emotion. She enjoyed it so much. She was telling me to record that one too... and that one... and that one... let's stay here a while longer, until, at one point, in the midst of so many people, I lost sight of her.
She was in another world, a happy one.
After a while looking for her, I could find her, she was also looking where I was.
Everything was a party, a party where the protagonist was the songs, the instruments and the dance of the people of Malaga. And those protagonists were the key to bring back many beautiful memories that fill the soul.
The fair came to an end, but surely next year we will come back and new chats will come up filling the spirit.

I imagined your mommy looking for you after she was crying with joy at least she was saying where is my little girl, the first song I blindly thought she was Colombian ajajajajaj
I saw her in the distance looking everywhere, there were too many people! But I was watching her, I told her at the end you're going to be my daughter hahahahaha
You know I loved the complicity with your mom to go out to have fun and enjoy such a great event.
She had a great time and I'm sure you did too! Thank you!😀
Olé!
:))
So, I missed The Fair of Malaga, but thank you for bringing it to this little community 😇
Your mom was touched, emotions and memories came to her because of the music, dance and songs. How powerful is music? 😎
Oh, and welcome to the Q-inspired by music corner 😇
Yes, when I saw her get excited I said this is very strong and that's why I decided to bring it. The roots are strong towards this land.❤️
Thank you very much @mipiano ✨
Hey, I was delighted to go to this fair in Malaga, especially because I love all this music. I feel my skin crawl when I see people dancing like this. It's so sensual.
Lots of color in the streets and crowded, and it is true that they look very cheerful.
On the other hand, it's very nice that you and your mother share together and all those memories come back.
I'm so glad you enjoyed yourselves like that. In places full of people like this, it is common to lose sight of someone, and even more so when you are so immersed in the atmosphere, the memories and the music.
;)
At first I didn't know how to bring this content but now I asked mipiano and he solved my doubts.
Here, for example, there are a lot of street artists, a lot of art in music and it would be nice to bring them.
My mother was very excited and we enjoyed it a lot, I took the opportunity to ask her stories about my grandfather, chat with her. She is 70 years old. She was very happy!
Thank you very much @nanixxx ❤️
que hermosura de baile como mueven las manos y ademas lo hacen super sincronizadas me gusto mucho la falda amonet
The truth is that it was beautiful, very nice music and colours, the decoration, everything. Thank you Monica!❤️
Great to see this, after so many years in Spain I am still not really into the Spanish Fairs but looking at it here makes me think that I should expose myself to it a bit more although I probably stick to Granada first ;)
