RE: Weekends With Him

I can totally understand the holidaying separately thing. Married people don't have to do every single thing together, and sometimes doing things separately gives you lots of stories to tell the other when you're together again. If my wife loves the beach but I really love the snow, enjoying those things doesn't mean you don't also really enjoy their company.

All marriages are different and if it works for you, sure! We sleep in separate beds which others think is weird, and I go surfing without him. But I'm not going to Europe for a year without him, that's for sure! I meant much longer time apart. A few days or a week doesn't count 😎 I went to Tassie for ten days without him and had a blast - I'd forgotten about that one! Probably too caught up thinking about lovvvvve haha!

Oh, I'm sorry, I thought they were going on holidays for a portion of the year-long sabbatical... not the whole year... that is pretty intense!

Definitely as we're getting older we're considering the separate beds, mainly because if one of us isn't sleeping well the stress of not waking up the other is a lot.

Yeah if you have the space do it. We have snuggles before bed and in the morning but a good night's sleep is everything!!!!!
