I got so mushy yesterday and I absolutely loved every bit of it. There was so much excitement, surprise and love in the air and it felt like the day shouldn't come to an end.
Daniel my good friend called me for a hang out, on arriving at the venue I realized there were lots of people, some were mutual friends that have known for so long and it was more like a reunion.
I also met these two love birds, Tina and Tony whom I have also known for three years now, they looked so good together. While we were playing and having fun, the Disc Jockey slammed in a great music and everyone began to dance but soon Tony got on his knees and proposed to Tina, it was so beautiful to see.
I have mostly seen such on the television where a man intentionally makes his woman feel so special and all the public display of affection, but it happened right before me yesterday and I was excited.
Tina on the other hand was teary, I could tell it was tears of joy, everyone wants to be loved and that feeling of knowing you and your other half are on the same page is something exciting.
She agreed to his proposal and the merriment continued, I guess Daniel my friend who invited me knew about Tony's plan, and they intentionally invited all their mutual friends to come share in their joy.
This song was inspired by Tina and Tony's love journey, and it title says it all.. I'm yours.
According to Tony, he's already knew he wanted to spend the rest of his life with Tina, but he kept hesitating to propose to her, until when he knew it can't wait no more.
He said he had little fear, fear of the unknown, fear of Tina rejecting his proposal maybe cause she thinks it's not yet time and all but he cast his fears aside and did the needful.
Jason Mraz wrote a beautiful love song, when we love someone we keep our fears aside as there is no fear in love, we give it our 100% shot and hope it works out the way we've planned it.
I am so happy for them and this means a wedding bell is ringing, they both have entered another journey of endless love and commitment and that's part of what true love means, commitment and accountability.
Love is a beautiful feeling, and we all need love to thrive, there are some who are holding back from loving because of their past experience, but how can you know if you don't try?
If you profess your love to someone worse that can happen is them not being on the same page with you, but at least you would know you gave it a shot than not even trying at all.
We only regret the risk and shots we do not take and remember we only live once. If you know it's worth it, then give it a shot.. You never know.. Love happens in a reckless way and you can find it in a hopeless place.
