To break out of my old patterns, I tried something new: I bought **Ableton Live 12** and started completely from scratch.\r\n\r\nActually it\u2019s still quite challenging. I don\u2019t fully understand the software yet, I\u2019m much slower than in my usual DAW, and I don\u2019t feel nearly as confident or fluent. But instead of giving up, I chose to **keep going and explore** and use this opportunity to start with something new and fresh.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n### \ud83c\udf11 A New Direction: Ambient & Cinematic\r\n\r\nThis time, I wanted to try a **completely different genre** for me:\r\n**ambient, cinematic, game-like, slightly dark**.\r\n\r\nMy main inspiration came from the game **Far Cry 4** and its soundtrack. This is part of working on my perfectionism and allowing myself to share work that feels far away from \u201cperfect\u201d yet.\r\nWhat you hear here is the current state after working on it twice:\r\n- no proper mix yet \r\n- very few effects \r\n- too full, too busy, a bit chaotic \r\n\r\nMy usual process is to first create **all the elements** I want, that\u00b4s why it sounds so full and chaotic. And then later I clean things up, create structure and give each sound more space. That step will come next \u2013 I\u2019m just not there yet.\r\n\r\nStill, I wanted to show you this stage. I want to practice **publishing things even when they\u2019re not perfect**. And this feels like the right way to start the year. So this is a perfect **first post of 2026**: music in progress, aligned with my intentions, and very honest.\r\n\r\nAlso I am trying to use only instruments and plugins I don\u00b4t know yet, and that are very simple to use. We\u2019ll see how it continues \u2013 but I can already say: this is a lot of fun, and I could absolutely imagine turning this into a **full album**.\r\n\r\nAnd honestly creating a **soundtrack for a game** one day would be a dream. \ud83c\udfae\u2728 \r\nI hope I can get there someday.
