Acerca de nuestro último Círculo de Mujeres 🇪🇦 - 🇺🇲

Hola bella comunidad! Hoy les quiero contar sobre el último Círculo de Mujeres que hicimos el pasado 19/02 en Caracas. Siempre es una dicha recapitular lo vivido en estos espacios tan hermosos, así que a disfrutar este viaje por la memoria!

Hello beautiful community! Today I want to tell you about the last Women's Circle we did last February 19th in Caracas. It is always a joy to recap what we lived in these beautiful spaces, so enjoy this trip down memory lane!

Éste fue el primer círculo del año que hicimos, junto a mi clan de hermanas de "Mujer Agua de Luna" (les conté ya un poco sobre este colectivo de mujeres en mi post anterior). Un par de semanas previo nos juntamos a crear la propuesta y planificar los detalles para convocar a los corazones de la ciudad, es realmente poderoso el tejido que logramos en éste último encuentro, aún tengo el corazón lleno de dicha!

This was the first circle of the year that we did, together with my clan of sisters of "Mujer Agua de Luna" (I told you a little about this women's collective in my previous post). A couple of weeks before we got together to create the proposal and plan the details to reunite the hearts of the city, it is really powerful the weaving that we achieved in this last meeting, my heart is still full of joy!

Uno de los lugares más hermosos donde he logrado llegar es el de los "Círculos de Mujeres", un espacio de profundidad, transparencia, reconocimiento y confianza donde adentrarse a conectar con la esencia de ser mujer. Son para mí ese espacio seguro donde podemos atrevernos a ser lo que verdaderamente somos y desde esa libertad compartirnos y sentirnos sostenidas por las demás.

One of the most beautiful places I have been able to experience is the "Women's Circles", a space of depth, transparency, recognition and trust where we can connect with the essence of being a woman. They are for me that safe space where we can dare to be what we truly are and from that freedom to share ourselves and feel supported by others.

Hace rato no hacíamos el llamado a circular -como le decimos "a la antigüita"-, pues ya nos habíamos juntado para otros encuentros y ceremonias en los que, aún cuando estaba el espacio del círculo de palabra, éste no era el foco central, digamos, dando espacio para otras actividades igual de bellas y nutritivas (canto, danzas, ceremonia de temazcal, plantas de poder, entre otros).

It has been a while since we called to circulate -as we say in "the old way"-, because we had already gathered for other meetings and ceremonies where, even when there was the space of the circle of words, this was not the central focus, giving space for other equally beautiful and nourishing activities (singing, dancing, temazcal ceremony, power plants, among others).

Fue muy bello y especial este último encuentro, ya que el equipo de apoyo creció y se vio reflejado en la convocatoria; fuimos 27 mujeres sentadas en círculo despertando el poder de nuestra palabra. Qué grata sorpresa, 13 de ellas eran totalmente nuevas para nosotras y de ellas 7 fueron a un círculo de mujeres por primera vez.

It was very beautiful and special this last gathering, as the support team grew and was reflected in the call; we were 27 women sitting in a circle awakening the power of our voice. What a free surprise, 13 of them were totally new to us and 7 of them came to a women's circle for the first time.

Desde madres hasta chicas muy jóvenes, fue un grupo muy variado y en ello encontramos un espacio de profunda fortaleza. Iniciamos conociéndonos todas, antes de entrar a la dinámica del círculo en sí, luego de unas palabras de apertura para introducirnos en el tema central que sería prioridad: compartir nuestra palabra y darle poder a nuestra voz, en confianza y verdadera apertura.

From mothers to very young girls, it was a very diverse group and in it we found a space of deep strength. We began by getting to know each other, before entering into the dynamics of the circle itself, after some opening words to introduce us to the central theme that would be a priority: sharing our word and giving power to our voice, in confidence and true openness.

El eje central en este espacio, y canalizador de la palabra para nosotras es el tabaco. Preparamos un hermoso tabaco dulce, con hojas orgánicas de la planta, flores y plantitas mágicas, lo propio para compartir entre mujeres y conectarnos con dulzura para abrir el corazón. El tabaco para los pueblos nativo americanos es un enlazador de mundos, el espíritu de la comunicación que nos permite elevar nuestra oración al Gran Misterio (Dios o como nos sea a fin llamarle).

The central axis in this space, and channel of the word for us is tobacco. We prepared a beautiful sweet tobacco, with organic leaves of the plant, flowers and magical plants, the proper thing to share among women and connect with sweetness to open the heart. Tobacco for Native American people is a linker of worlds, the spirit of communication that allows us to raise our prayer to the Great Mystery (God or whatever we want to call him).

Iniciamos a las 11am abriendo la ronda de palabra junto con los puros de tabaco ceremonial que armamos en piel de maíz, así fue acompañando el tiempo de compartir su palabra para todas las que ahí estuvimos. El tiempo de la escucha y atención que nos entrega es un enorme regalo, cuando llega el tabaco a nuestras manos muchas veces pensamos que no sabremos qué decir, sin embargo, y como por arte de magia, una vez le damos las primeras caladas la palabra comienza a fluir de manera muy orgánica, permitiendo que el sentir de nuestro corazón sea expresado.

We started at 11am opening the round of words together with the ceremonial tobacco cigars that we assembled in corn skin with the intention of accompanying the time of sharing words for all of us who were there. The time of listening and attention that he offers us is an enormous gift, when the tobacco reaches our hands many times we think that we will not know what to say, however, and as if by magic, once we take the first puffs the word begins to flow in a very organic way, allowing the feeling of our heart to be expressed.

Este momento es siempre muy especial e íntimo, es un tiempo donde tenemos la oportunidad de sentir el corazón de la hermana que habla, resonar en él y acompañarle desde el silencio y la atención ante la situación o sentir que expone para todas. Alcanzamos en este encuentro un nivel de profundidad muy hermoso, soltando las expectativas siempre recibimos grandes sorpresas y así nos permitimos viajar a través del misterio interior que develamos bajo la guía del abuelito tabaco.

This moment is always very special and intimate, it is a time where we have the opportunity to feel the heart of the sister who speaks, resonate in it and accompany her from the silence and attention to the situation or feeling that she exposes for all of us. We reach in this meeting a very beautiful level of depth, releasing the expectations we always receive great surprises and thus we allow ourselves to travel through the inner mystery that we unveil under the guidance of grandfather tobacco.

Entre cantos, palabra y sahumo fue avanzando el día hasta llegar la tarde, enfocando nuestra atención y direccionando la energía para sostener el espacio en armonía y bienestar para todas. Fué muy impresionado el nivel de compromiso y respeto por parte de las chicas, especialmente al estar tantas para las cuales era la primera experiencia. Que gran regalo nos llevamos de sentirlo tan firme y ligero! 😍

Between chants, words and copal, the day progressed until the afternoon, focusing our attention and directing the energy to sustain the space in harmony and well being for all. We were very impressed by the level of commitment and respect from everybody, especially since there were so many of them for whom it was their first experience. What a great gift we took away from feeling it so firm and light! 😍

Luego de terminar la palabra una de las hermanas del clan nos compartió una hermosa práctica de tejido manual. Siempre el tejido nos trae una gran medicina para traer orden y claridad de pensamiento, aterrizar el sentir y la palabra hilando cada memoria y emoción junto en cada nudo. Fué muy hermoso y especial que cada una tejiera su propio amuleto, un recordatorio de fortaleza y confianza para continuar caminando lo que nos corresponde con amor.

After finishing the word one of the clan sisters shared with us a beautiful hand weaving practice. Always knitting brings us great medicine to bring order and clarity of thought, grounding the feeling and the word spinning each memory and emotion together in each knot. It was very beautiful and special that each one knitted her own amulet, a reminder of strength and confidence to continue walking what is ours with love.

He participado en varias actividades de tejido, pero por primera vez logré terminar toda la pieza en el círculo, sin necesidad de llevarme tarea pendiente a casa! En lo personal fué muy gratificante, sentir la representación de empezar y terminar, poner mi propósito en el tejido y dar apertura y cierre dentro del espacio del círculo que nos contenía a todas! Esa sensación de "lo logré" que no tiene precio. 🥲

I have participated in several knitting activities, but for the first time I was able to finish the whole piece in the circle, without having to take home any unfinished homework! Personally, it was very gratifying to feel the representation of starting and finishing, putting my purpose in the weaving and opening and closing within the space of the circle that contained us all! That feeling of "I made it" that is priceless. 🥲

Cerramos el encuentro compartiendo las pipas de obsidisna que 3 de nosotras custodiamos. Éstos instrumentos de rezo nos fueron otorgados en la Danza de la Luna y hacen parte de la tradición de este ceremonial, son una herramienta de oración puesta al servicio de la comunidad, para pedir, agradecer, orar, ordenar, recibir guía y entendimiento. (No tengo fotos de esta parte, ya que cuidamos mucho el espíritu de éstas abuelas evitando retratarlas).

We closed the meeting by sharing the obsidian pipes that 3 of us guarded. These prayer instruments were given to us in the Dance of the Moon and are part of the tradition of this ceremonial, they are a prayer tool at the service of the community, to ask, thank, pray, order, receive guidance and understanding. (I don't have pictures of this part, since we take care of the spirit of these grandmothers avoiding to portray them).

Terminamos alrededor de las 7pm compartiendo alimentos y abriendo espacio para la exposición de los productos de varias de nosotras que tenemos nuestras marcas y emprendimientos personales (artesanía, cosmética natural, alimentos naturales y más). Este es un momento al que procuramos siempre darle lugar, sosteniendo el espacio para la economía sostenible dentro de la comunidad.

We ended around 7pm sharing food and opening space for the exhibition of the products of several of us who have our brands and personal ventures (handicrafts, natural cosmetics, natural foods and more). This is a moment we always try to make room for, holding space for sustainable economy within the community.

Sí, estuvimos todo el día en esto 😂 pero como cuando uno está disfrutando y divirtiéndose feliz el tiempo pasa volando, la verdad es que no se sintió tanto tiempo! La verdad es que siempre nos pasa jajaja, y no puedo mentir, amamos que sea así.

Yes, we were at it all day 😂 but as when one is enjoying and having fun happy time flies by, the truth is that it didn't feel so long! The truth is it always happens to us hahaha, and I can't lie, we love that it does.

Me hace muy feliz ver en retrospectiva cómo ha ido evolucionando está comunidad que somos, se siente cada vez más la
madurez que nos entrega el continuo caminar, abriendo paso al crecimiento y llegando cada vez más a más mujeres. Nuestro propósito es siempre dar a conocer ésta poderosa y sutil medicina, un espacio de contención y amor abierto para todas las mujeres.

It makes me very happy to see in retrospect how this community that we are has been evolving, you can feel more and more the maturity that gives us the continuous walk, making way for growth and reaching more and more women. Our purpose is always to make known this powerful and subtle medicine, a space of containment and love open to all women.

Sostenemos estos círculos al menos una vez al mes, a veces variando la temática o las actividades que en él se comparten, pero siempre sosteniendo la esencia de abrir el espacio íntimo que da paso a la apertura y la palabra.

We hold these circles at least once a month, sometimes varying the theme or the activities that are shared in it, but always maintaining the essence of opening the intimate space that gives way to the opening and the word.
