Echos et Merveilles: Another Guaranteed Highlight of the year
Dear Troublemakers,
Some shows are more than performances. They’re reminders—of why we do this, of the power of community, of the shared dream between artist and audience. Our recent return to Echos et Merveilles was one of those rare and unforgettable moments.
From the minute we arrived back in Toulouse, we felt it. That indescribable spark of reunion. It’s hard to put into words, but if you’ve been to Echos before, you know exactly what we mean. This festival is magic.
A Family, Not Just a Festival
In today’s world of hyper-commercialized events, it’s almost unheard of to find a festival of this size—with major acts, complex productions, and wide acclaim—that still feels like a group of friends making something beautiful together.
But Echos et Merveilles does just that.
From the volunteers to the tech crew, from the organizing team to the audience itself—everyone feels connected, like one big family putting their hearts into something meaningful. That energy is rare, and it makes a world of difference.
A very special thank you must go to Niko, whose leadership and vision are the beating heart of this festival. His entire team, the Neko Light Orchestra, brings something unique into this world, and it does not go unnoticed. As artists, we feel it. The audience feels it.
A Change of Plans, A Show to Remember
Just hours before our set, weather forced a last-minute venue change. Moving from an open-air stage with 2,500 people to an indoor venue like La Bascala on short notice could have been a disaster. But the way the technicians, organizers, and team rallied together was nothing short of heroic.
With little time for sound checks or full resets, we all worked together to create a show that still felt electric. That kind of professionalism and team spirit is what separates good events from great ones—and what makes memories like this possible.
A Glimpse Into the Future
This wasn’t just another gig for us. Echos et Merveilles was a proving ground. We've been deep in development on a new immersive stage show, built around an original fantasy world we've been creating over the past year. We’ve spent weeks preparing for this performance—testing out new compositions and creative ideas that are part of a much larger vision.
This year is incredibly important to us. We are laying the foundation for a massive artistic leap, one that blends storytelling, music, light, and movement into a fully realized concert experience. Performing these new pieces for the Echos crowd was both exhilarating and nerve-wracking. But the response? Unbelievable. The feedback, the energy, the sheer enthusiasm from the audience gave us the confidence we needed. They made us believe even more deeply in what we’re building.
Moments That Stay With Us
We also want to extend a heartfelt thank you to Sophie van Grinsven, who once again joined us on stage. Her stage presence, her movement, her connection with the crowd—it added so much depth and beauty to the show. It was a joy to share that space with her again.
With All Our Gratitude
Echos et Merveilles has become more than a festival to us, it's a creative home. They welcomed us back like family, and reminded us of the power of shared experience, trust, and artistic risk.
With love and melodies,
TTN
Looks great. It's amazing how many festivals go on around the world. You can pay crazy money to see one big act or enjoy much more variety at a festival. There's always new music to explore.
Rock on!
