I Powered UP some HIVE - What A Way To Die!
Happy HIVE Power UP Day!
I don't always power up on the first of the month. I don't follow trends. I do things in my own time.
But today I did power up a small amount. 50 HIVE.
I'm here for the Long Term.
How can I say that? Next month I'm here 10 years. I've already been here for the Long Term.
I'm here just about every day. I don't always post but I do read stuff daily and vote daily (some automated I admit, but also daily manual curation) and I try to leave decent comments on some posts I like.
HIVE may not go past 21 (cents) but what a way to die!
I'll be here even if the price keeps sinking. We have a niche network with a great group of folks. Why would I want to leave.
So, she was Leather Tuscadero on Happy Days in the 70s but she was bass player and singer of the sisters band The Pleasure Seekers in the 60s. And she is Suzi Quatro. One of their early and quite loud, snotty and bizarre songs was What A Way To Die from 1965.
Seems Suzi likes her Beer more than her Boyfriend or her Life.

Dan might think we're all gonna die soon. Well not all, I guess some will be caught up and taken to Heaven.
That's cool. @dan has a right to have his opinion and I can respect that right. I don't agree but that's fine. I'm wrong a lot.
But I must say, THANKS DAN! I love what you did here. I'm still here. You're not (lately), but you're a YouTubeStar so that's something. What a life you've had so far. I suspect there's more you'll do.

After dan left here, he started EOS, then he left there too. Now he has his YouTube channel about The Rapture.
In his latest video, he talks about when he thinks the rapture is coming. I didn't watch much of it but I think it was happening this weekend. He has made many similar videos in the past. We're all still here.

Can you believe nearly an entire decade has gone by?! My ten year anniversary will be here on July 5th. Honestly I've taken a few breaks and even almost quit a couple of times in the last five years but never stay away for long. This place, and the people, seem almost like family now. I've resigned to the fact that I'll be here for as long as the servers are running and/or I'm capable of typing.
I have to admit I had a thing for Leather Tuscadero when I was in grade school—her, the Catwoman from the original Batman TV series, and Elizabeth Montgomery. Lol.
I almost forgot about Dan! I wonder where Ned is? He's pretty much erased his footprint from all social media sites. They built something rare and special here indeed and it's especially apparent during face-to-face meetups.
Our 10 year anniversary here is a great time to look back and remember all we've been through. Def a net positive for me! Seems the same for you too.
Young guys have had their crushes over the decades. Going way back there was Shelley Fabares on The Donna Reed Show and Tuesday Weld on Dobie Gillis in the 50s. Patty Duke, the Lost In Space girls, the Gilligan's Island girls and the ones you mentioned in the 60s. Charlie's Angels and Three's Company girls in the 70s, and on and on to this day.
Regarding Catwoman, there were at least 2 or maybe 3 of them on the Batman TV show. If you liked Julie Newmar, it might be interesting to know that she starred in My Living Doll, as a ROBOT! That was '64 to '65. Opening credits:

You're right, it's been a very positive journey for me! Julie Newmar was the one. : ) I had no idea she was on that other show! Elizabeth Montgomery was my biggest crush. No judgement but the rapture-content creeps me out to be honest. Thanks for that link! I'll check it out. Although Steemit didn't end well we had some amazing years and it led us here to Hive.
