Acoustic Guitar Songs

Here are some songs with my friends acoustic guitar he’s lent me. They’re all from one of my current bands “Edgeworth Band”. A couple have mixtures of major and minor chords that take a bit of remembering. I have to play quieter than normal because I’m in a hotel room and recording in the middle of the night. Although the street we’re on has bars that are open till around 4am.

A friend lent me his acoustic guitar today. I haven’t played since arriving in Thailand late November and am having to play quiet in the hotel room as it’s 3am. These two songs are from the Edgeworth Band catalogue that Emma and I have played live a few times. I remember adding an off the cuff verse to Colonisers at a gig we played at the Beehive at Bromley-by-Bow in East London. I was wearing a sleeveless yellow T-shirt with RON THROOP written on it and announced to the audience that he’s the best artist in the world. After the gig a woman came up to me and said “I’m guessing your name’s Ron Throop.” Ron and I have since formed a band called Farangers and a painting collaboration called Jonron. We also publish a weekly video podcast on our Substacks where we talk for an hour or so, mainly about art, music and FREE ART FREES ART.
