Dzisiaj będę omawiać i recenzować piosenkę zespołu MCND o tytule "Crush".

Today I will be discussing and reviewing a song by MCND called "Crush".

Zanim zaczniemy, kilka słów o zespole. Nazwa MCND to skrót od słów "Music Creates New Dream". Zespół składa się z pięciu członków: Castle J, BIC, Minjae, Huijun, Win. 2 stycznia 2020 roku wydali oni przed debiutową piosenkę o tytule "TOP GANG", a zadebiutowali 27 lutego 2020 roku z piosenką "ICE AGE".

Before we begin, a few words about the band. The name MCND is an acronym for "Music Creates New Dream." The band consists of five members: Castle J, BIC, Minjae, Huijun, Win. On January 2, 2020, they released a pre-debut song called "TOP GANG," and debuted on February 27, 2020 with the song "ICE AGE."

Piosenka "Crush" została wydana 7 stycznia 2021 roku i w dniu obecnym wyświetlenia pod oficjalnym teledyskiem na Youtube wynoszą 20 milionów ! Również chciałabym wspomnieć o tym, że "Crush" osiągnęła 25. miejsce na Billboard's World Digital Song Sales Chart. Gratulacje dla chłopaków !!

TELEDYSK:
Teledysk sam w sobie jest bardzo chaotyczny, ale pasuje do ogółu całej piosenki. Widzimy ostro cięte przejścia, dużo migających obrazów i świateł. Bardzo podoba mi się to, że gdy pomieszczenie, w którym akurat znajdują się członkowie/członek jest danego koloru, to ubiór tych/tej osoby do niego pasuje, na przykład, gdy cały pokój jest w pomarańczowych barwach zespół ma na sobie czerwone kostiumy. Gdy pokój jest niebieski, ubranie danego członka też jest tego koloru. Natomiast jest jedna rzecz w całym teledysku, która dla mnie - dużego i wiernego fana MCND jest minusem. Są momenty, w których osoba będąca na centrum nie jest adekwatna do osoby, która akurat śpiewa. Na samym początku możemy to zobaczyć, gdy w centrum znajduje się Castle J, ale słyszymy głos Win'a. Ogólnie poza tym nie widzę więcej minusów teledysku samego w sobie.

MUSIC VIDEO:
The video itself is very chaotic, but it fits the overall feel of the whole song. We see sharply cut transitions, lots of flashing images and lights. I really like the fact that when the room that the members/member happen to be in is of a particular color, the clothing of those/this member matches it, for example, when the whole room is in orange the band is wearing red outfits. When the room is blue the clothing of the member is also of that color. On the other hand, there is one thing in the whole video that for me - a big and loyal MCND fan - is a minus. There are moments when the person in the center is not adequate to the person who happens to be singing. At the very beginning we can see this when Castle J is in the center, but we hear Win's voice. In general, apart from this, I don't see any more downsides to the music video.

CHOREOGRAFIA:
Choreografia, tak jak piosenka i teledysk do niej, jest bardzo rytmiczna i intensywna. Bardzo podoba mi się fakt, że rzeczywiście momenty, w których piosenka jest delikatniejsza, na przykład przed refrenem, to i choreografia jest spokojniejsza, ale wciąż zachowuje dokładne i ostre ruchy. Motyw dance break'u też pasuje tutaj idealnie, bo my jako słuchacze mamy chwilę wytchnienia od poprzedniej intensywności, ale zaraz po tym wraca poprzedni motyw z jeszcze większym impetem. Pod koniec układ taneczny jest już bardziej zabawą i zwyczajnym skakaniem, jednak też widzimy tam moment, w którym dwójka członków wykonuje szybki i skomplikowany footwork, także podziwiam chłopaków, że żadnemu z nich nie stała się krzywda podczas nauki tego kroku.

CHOREOGRAPHY:
The choreography, like the song and the video for it, is very rhythmic and intense. I really like the fact that there are indeed moments when the song is softer, for example before the chorus, then the choreography is calmer as well, but it still maintains precise and sharp movements. The dance break motif also fits perfectly here, as we as listeners have a moment of respite from the previous intensity, but right after that the previous motif returns with even more impetus. Towards the end the dance arrangement is already more fun and ordinary jumping, but we also see there a moment when two members perform a fast and complicated footwork, so I admire the guys that none of them got hurt while learning this step.

PIOSENKA:
Całokształt piosenki mi osobiście bardzo się podoba. Lubię takie skoczne, dość chaotyczne piosenki, jednak nie każdemu przypadnie ona do gustu. Na pewno w tym zespole odnajdą się osoby nie przepadające za monotonnością, bo MCND w tej, jak i w każdej piosence robią coś zupełnie nowego, mimo wszystko cały czas trzymając się szybkich i skocznych melodii. Chłopcy mają zróżnicowane głosy, które razem się uzupełniają i tym samym potrafią zaskoczyć.

SONG:
I personally like the whole song very much. I like such lively, rather chaotic songs, however, it will not appeal to everyone. Certainly, people who are not fond of monotony will enjoy this band, because MCND in this, as well as in every song, do something completely new, nevertheless all the time sticking to fast and lively melodies. The boys have diverse voices that complete each other together and thus manage to surprise.

Słowem zakończenia. Czy ta piosenka jest warta polecenia początkującym fanom K-POP'u, jak i tym starszym? Moim zdaniem niezupełnie. Piosenka, teledysk i choreografia są naprawdę świetne, jednak tak jak wspomniałam wcześniej, jest to coś, co nie każdemu przypadnie do gustu. Ale co z tego? Zawsze warto próbować, a może akurat Tobie i Twoim znajomym się spodoba taki styl muzyczny, jaki tworzą MCND!

In a word of conclusion. Is this song worth recommending to beginning K-POP fans, as well as older ones? In my opinion, not really. The song, music video and choreography are really great, however, as I mentioned earlier, this is something that not everyone will like. But so what? It's always worth trying, and maybe you and your friends will happen to like the kind of music style MCND creates!
