'Happy Diss' - New Original Music - An Idea from Last Night

randomly became a song idea that I actually like quite a bit. I had started with the 'Intimate Strings', which is a Spitfire Originals sound pack, in Track 2. It plays the line pictured below, which I intended to be a dissonant, but still happy progression. It plays a Cmaj7 with an A on top, C5add9, then an F5add9; the top line repeats the same notes, A, D and G, but underneath, for the final 3 chords, we have a Bb5, Eb5 (Eb/Bb) and a Bb major (D/Bb). Tracks 4 and 5 use another of those small Spitfire packs, the 'Alex Lenz' pack, which provide the spacey vocal harmonies; there's a convolution reverb on these which adds to the ambient vibe. Tracks 7 and 8 are the same clips, just staggered so any repetition doesn't cut them off, recorded from a Cypher2 arpeggiator synth. Track 9 is another Cypher2 instrument, which fades in the first time, and the second time around, fades in and then fades out as the song fades out. Finally, we have Track 10, which adds a little repeating melody. Overall, I am really happy with this so far, considering it was such a random combination of synths and strings and vocals, hehe. So I'll keep playing around and see where things go.
