to be a huge Beatles fan, it wasn't until my early '20s that I started to get into the solo careers of all the members, and in the case of McCartney, his subsequent band. As a Beatles, these later albums were the next logical step, and gave me a TON of 'new' music to check out, some of which have become favorites of mine. I'm sure like many people, the Ringo Starr solo stuff is probably what I know the least of. The other 3 all have amazing albums after the Beatles, so I don't think I could pick favorites, but the early Wings stuff from the first half of the '70s is for up there. Wings was the group formed by Paul and his wife Linda, and originally also consisted of Denny Seiwall and Denny Laine, though there have been other musicians in the group after that point, and sometimes Seiwall and/or Laine wouldn't appear on an album here and there. Their 3rd album, 1973's Band on the Run is arguably their best, definitely a classic, and filled with (at least for my tastes) nearly ALL perfect tunes. This song is a favorite of mine; I love the heavy groove, and the guitar licks are awesome. At the time, many people thought this was an intentional pastiche of Lennon's style, sort of taking a dig at him, but Paul has denied that, and I think any resemblance was accidental.
