🎵 Gene & Ashlee’s Alt2k Wednesday DailyJams! Picking 2000’s Era Music From Blink-182 & The Offspring 🎸
Wednesday is ALT2K Wednesday! We pick tunes from the 2000’s! This week we each pick a band who broke in the Nineties but cover only tunes they released in early 2000’s! This week we go 2003! Each picking album released that year & pick a DailyJam & BonusJam from said record.
Ashlee picks the Offspring and there 2003 album “Splinter”. It’s the song “Head Around You” for DailyJam! Followed by “The Noose” for BonusJam!
I also pick a “Pop Punk” Nineties band with a 2003 album! I go with Blink-182! The difference is Blink commercially was still heavily in there prime, where the Offspring was slowly fading from mainstream success. The album was simply Self Titled and the bands last before breaking up in late 2004. Frankly it was huge and if they hadn’t broken up they likely would have remained very big in mainstream for years to come. This album went more Alt rock than the bands pop punk previous work. I pick the song “Feeling This” for DailyJam & Violence for my BonusJam!
