It's Nearly New Cards Day and Some Small Updates!
Another month draws to an end and that can only mean it's time for another set of brand new Rising Star cards!
As always our unsung heroes @theturtleproject and @nupulse have been working their socks off to produce a beautiful set ready for release tomorrow.

Reducing Costs
Earlier this month we made some changes to our server to reduce our costs as we realised we didn't need all the performance we were paying for. The reason for this was both a reduction in the number of active players due to the prolonged bear market that we have been in and the effect of improvements to the back end code that we have made on an ongoing basis.
The good news is the game seems to be performing fine with these reduced settings and means we will get to a point where our treasury and investments will be able to cover the server costs sooner than anticipated!
With Bitcoin nearly at another ATH (All Time High) and Bitcoin dominance already very high we will also be hoping for alt season to finally make an appearance in the next few months.
Community Account
The main reason Rising Star is still going after 5 years is because of you - the amazing community.
Many of you know that I run the game as a hobby because it is certainly not a revenue generator! I love a challenge and I was determined to make the game self sustaining. I do not need to make an income from the game but I do want the costs to be covered and have been working steadily towards that over the last few years.
Some of you took it on yourselves to find ways to help with this and regularly send assets to the @rsgraveyard2 account.
We have now decided to make the @rsgraveyard2 account a "community account" so you can see how it progresses. You can send anything you like here (HIVE, HBD, Hive Engine tokens and NFTs) and know that it will be used in support of the game. If you have "dust" on Hive Engine then feel free to send it in as we will do our best to make the most of anything that is sent.

I am excited to see the new cards tomorrow; they do such an awesome job on them every month! I spent my usual around 100 Million Starbits, so 5K packs. If I get lucky I will get them all but usually I will go get more packs until I get them all, unless someone sells on the market what I need at a decent price. I am excited though for new card day!!

You know some dedicated players will never give up on you. For others they may as well as it costs them nothing but a little time and folk play other games for no reward at all (weird!).
