Three Tune Tuesday ~ Win Butler ~ Birthday Boy #86
Welcome to my #TTT #ThreeTuneTuesday entry!
Good afternoon, everyone!
Another week, another Tuesday, another birthday celebration.
Today, to celebrate his 46th birthday, I bring you Edwin Farnham Butler III!
Born in California, he spent part of his childhood in Argentina and was raised in Texas. This singer-songwriter, musician, and multi-instrumentalist is part of one of the hottest indie-rock bands of recent years, Arcade Fire.
Although Arcade Fire has performed in Portugal several times, I think the first time I saw them live was in 2016, at their show at the Nos Alive music festival.
This band is one of those that conveys the best vibes to those listening to them live. It’s a sound that, when it first emerged, made the indie movement very popular, and there were indeed many bands that followed that style. The Canadian band, originally from Montreal and founded in 2001, has been releasing many great albums, always characterized by a very interesting sound.
This week, I thought I’d have a little more energy when I got home from work, since I’m on the morning shift, but that hasn’t been the case… We’re still at the beginning of the week… I know that well. But for now, it’s not easy at all. Today I have a meeting at the end of the day, which has complicated my plans for the afternoon a bit. And instead of taking a nap in the afternoon—so I’d feel more rested at night and it wouldn’t be so hard to stay up late—I ended up doing something I know won’t do me much good… I had a cup of black coffee to give me the energy and motivation to go to the gym. I also took the opportunity to write my daily post... Let’s keep our fingers crossed that the rest of the day isn’t too rough...
For today, in addition to the usual three tracks, I’m also including a fourth track that I chose, as it’s one of those songs I keep listening to on repeat.
