Litá Folk Band [Eng-Pt]
Good morning, everyone!
I've been meaning to try out Frontend 3Speak for a while now, and today is the day I'm going to make my first video post.
First of all, I hope I'm not falling foul of the law by filming with my phone horizontally and not in portrait mode. I confess that at the time, I wanted to include as much area as possible and try not to cut out the artists.
On April 6th, there was a free event at an institution just over half an hour's drive from my house.
It was a performance by a Ukrainian folklore group! Of course I couldn't pass up this opportunity. The project, called Litá Folk Band, was made up of four young Ukrainians, two of whom spoke Portuguese very well and the other two could express themselves very well in English.
It was a real spring afternoon. And what a pleasant one it was.
In addition to the traditional Ukrainian folk songs, which have many roots in various regions of the country, there was also a part of the performance where we went outside and the rest of the audience could take part in various traditional dances.
These four young people, who study Ukrainian folklore, came to Portugal in August 2022 to escape the war.
In this first video I want to show the vocal abilities of these young people, who sing in polyphony. It was simply fantastic, and I have to confess that I got goose bumps!
One of the young men, Danylo, who is only 17 years old, built his own stringed instrument, called a bandura.
I'm sharing with you a YouTube link I found with a report from the first days when they arrived in Portugal.
I also leave here the link to the group's Instagram page, in case you want to do more research or even support their cause.
I hope to share with you more material about this fantastic day I had!
Thank you for your attention!
Cheers! 🍀 🇺🇦
Bem Hajam! 🍀🇺🇦

You're welcome,
You too.
Amazing presentation, really the instruments separately sound good but together they sound great, greetings.
In this short video, they are just singing. And their voices are so deeply beautiful, that they are like true instruments.
