The immortal legacy of Linkin Park

Good afternoon, gentlemen, today I am very excited because this is the first group I went to see in concert and I have very good memories, I am talking about Linkin Park.

So let's start

1995 Aurora Hills California United States a young Mike Shinoa attended a school called Aurora High School, the same school where he would meet Abra Delson and Rock Gordon, with these two boys they would form the band 0 creating their first material in 1995 which had a rather rudimentary garage style but little by little the three boys were taking the band seriously just in those years Coro jumps to fame for their self-titled album and brings with it the explosion of New metal. This detail stands out to put them more in context. So if you don't give contact he was a DJ and as an extra fact before he belonged to the band he was dedicated to creating special effects for movies.

By 96 the band began with a mix of genres such as New metal Hardcore and hip hop adding bassist Dave Ferrol as a member of the band with five stable members the group looked for a vocalist inviting Mark Wetfield as lead vocalist the band recorded in an improvised studio product of this was born the first demo called Zero which was not successful frustrated the vocalist decided to leave the group to continue with his studies.

Then if noda began to look for a new vocalist among the applicants was a young Chester Bennington now a twist of history Chester Charles Bennington was born on March 20, 1976 in Phoenix Arizona son of a nurse and a police detective.

Chester was 7 years old. He was sexually abused by an older friend who later confessed that he was afraid to ask for help because he did not want people to think he was homosexual. The abuse continued until the age of 13. To further complicate his life, his parents divorced when he was 11 years old and he also suffered bullying at school.

Until 1999 the band was unable to find any opportunity with a record label until a vice president of Warner Records managed to sign the nascent band and now under a label that does not represent them, they manage to release their first studio album since I can tell you that it was an album that nobody expected to have such a good reception both in critics and in sales. So on October 24, 2000, Hybrid Fury was born, the second debut album with the highest sales behind Apt for Destruction by Guns n' Roses.

Most Relevant Successes:

"In the End" (2000)

  • One of his most representative songs, with a perfect balance between rap and rock. It belongs to the debut album Hybrid Theory, which was a commercial phenomenon.

"Crawling" (2000)

  • Won a Grammy Award for Best Hard Rock Performance. An emotionally charged song about personal struggle.

"Numb" (2003)

  • From the album Meteora, it became a generational anthem. The collaboration with Jay-Z on "Numb/Encore" was also a huge success.

"Somewhere I Belong" (2003)

  • It represented the evolution of his style on Meteora, combining introspective lyrics with intense musical arrangements.

"Breaking the Habit" (2004)

  • A ballad that addresses themes of addiction and redemption, known for its animated music video.

"New Divide" (2009)

  • Written for the movie Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, it is an epic theme with an electronic touch.

Linkin Park has sold over 100 million albums worldwide and has won numerous awards, including Grammys, MTV Music Awards, and Billboard Music Awards. Their cultural impact is undeniable, marking an era when nu-metal dominated the charts.

Chester Bennington's death in 2017 left a void in modern music, but the band is still remembered for their ability to connect deeply with the emotions of their listeners. Mike Shinoda has continued his solo career and has expressed that Linkin Park's legacy remains alive thanks to their fans.

Well, gentlemen, this is all for today, so tomorrow more and better.

If I didn't explain the origin of the band it wouldn't be a 100% well documented post. And I'm glad you liked it, thank you very much.

I'm glad to read that, and by the way, have you heard the new song? It would be weird if Chester didn't sing it, and people aren't very happy.

Yeah I saw that the new vocalist was the vocalist of the Band "Dead Sara", really is a good singer and I heard it some time ago and I never think she will be the vocalist of Linkin Park, for my was very incredible. I saw short videos of her doing a cover (I don't remember now which track) but I share my respect that, for assuming this big responsability
