Three Tune Tuesday - My Favorite Rush Songs
I did a previous #threetunetuesday about bad Rush songs. Now this post will highlight good Rush songs.
As per usual here is Tom Sawyer. Super catchy with nice complex but simple transitions. It also gets stuck in your head easily.
Here is Fly by Night a nice easy going sounding classic rock song. Rush has been around so long their song styles span a few eras of music. Gotta love the Rickenbaker bass in this video.
This is probably the first song I remember hearing by Rush. It somehow made it onto the heavy metal radio station in between Megadeth and Pantera. The guitar solo really impressed me so I had to get past the high pitched voice and listen to more Rush songs after that.

Rush has been around so long they have so many different sounds. The classic rock staples but Stick It Out does sound pretty heavy metal. That intro sounds like Blue Oyster Cult but thats another band that its hard to pigeon hole into one genre.
Yeah agree with blue oyster cult. The newer Rush stuff isn't terribly memorable, I rarely ever listen to it. Vapor trails was the last good album they made.
