Three Tune Tuesday - Deafheaven

Here is a new but old band that I found for this #threetunetuesday by @ablaze


Deafheaven is sort of a blend of black metal, shoegaze and post rock. Like the singer from Cradle of Filth, the drummer from Explosions in the Sky and maybe the guitarist from Russian Circles or My Bloody Valentine got together and made a wall of sound.


Their formula is simple, saw on the guitar nonstop then bring in the bass and drums. Finally the singer screams in the background and you can't quite understand a word he's singing. Just another layer of distortion.


These are just three of their random songs, I suspect you may have to listen to the album in order to get the full effect of how the songs blend with eachother. These guys are useful for putting on when a server in your office is constantly beeping and you need to drown out the beep lol.

Haha yeah that happens to me too sometimes lol. Especially if I work on a weekend or take a vacation.

Ah yeah my wife has the same problem especially when the baby doesn't sleep well the night before.

Most of their songs sound exactly the same until you wait for much later in the song where they calm things down... (sometimes)
