Worst indomee I had recently
It's already Wednesday here but I still want to share my three tune Tuesday. I was busy yesterday if not I would've posted yesterday. Anyways, I found this new Thai singer called MEYOU and I want to share three songs from him. His songs are a bit more towards pop and hip hop.
#1. อีกแล้ว - MEYOU
I'm sharing this song first as it's a good opener. It's pretty chill and laid back giving that hip hop R&B style. The title of the song means again when translated to English with google translate. Based on the video and title, I think it's a love song where the person is falling in love again and again with another person.
#2. อิจฉา - MEYOU
Now the title of this song means jealous. This song is a bit more emo but I like how they incorporate a trumpet into the music. It made it a bit different and interesting; you can hear it around 1:35 in the video I shared. Anyways, the song is about a person getting jealous seeing the person they love with somebody else and that's the gist of it if I'm not wrong.
#3. วันนี้ปีที่แล้ว - MEYOU
I saved my favorite for last as usual. If you know me, I have a bit of a bias towards emo love songs. This song is definitely emo and you can feel it in the melody. The song is about a person looking back a year ago on a certain day when they were with someone special. They are not together anymore though presently.

Sweet ballads. Technically, I don't understand a single words from Thai language except shuai mug mug and sabbai 🤣 but what I cannot deny is, their slow rock is exceptionally easy for my ears. The distortion guitar play as fill in, solo, and the profound drum smashing sound, it's probably 2nd to or even better than Indo and Malay band sound. No I didn't include any Chinese band, not even the good old champion Beyond is a no match to any Thai band.
Oh here's my favourite Thai song, probably got hooked on to it due the MV story 🤣

Sabbai - more proper use as syok
Beyond songs is quite basic. Good thing is, the skill is so basic that anyone with decent basic guitar skill can play. Therefore, the biggest success is, it became every novice guitar players practice piece in most Asia region. 🤣 There are some masterpiece I particularly like from beyond, but those are after the main KaKui gone. I'm not saying KaKui is bad, technically he steered the band to their biggest success until he died, and keeping it simple stupid is probably the way to go.
Rumors about this song were composed by KaKui, but haven't got a chance to finish the lyrics. The rest of the band leaves the music as a minus one. Only until the chorus, they fill it up with don't wanna make it without you.
wah but shuai means handsome in chinese leh. then where u learn these words from hor. u got thai friends ah.
Hmmm makes now that you explain it. Sometimes less is more leh. Simplicity has it's own beauty ;p especially when doing things. If too complicated very mafan one.
This song I don't know. I only know their more famous ones~ not really my generation :p this band
The place where you can point your finger to select a shuai mug mug girl, so she can give you sabbai - place. No I have never went to any of those places 🤣. I got it from friends that always travel to find "girl next door". Jokes aside, both Thailand & our country shares a lot of common phrases as they have their fair share of Chinese influences in their modern language. I got the sabbai decades ago from the song below, was once a blue hit in Malaysia:
As for the Beyond song, I will leave the topic stop here. I think it's just personal preference. I have once demonstrate some guitar skill and explained why they become famous, and why I think they're more skillful after the departure of KaKui but less famous. That alone is an entire topic worth 3000 pages encyclopedia.
