THE TIPTONS SAXOPHONE QUARTET & DRUMS live
Tiptons Saxophone Quartet & Drums is an all-female saxophone quartet founded in Seattle in 1988.
They named themselves after the musician Billy Tipton, who was posthumously revealed to have been born a woman.
The performance at MKNŽ rock club took place on the eve of International Women’s Day, March 7, 2026.

This past February, they released their 15th album, titled 'Live In Portland'.
In their performances, they blend sounds from across the globe; the saxophone quartet with drums on stage sounds like jazz, blues, funk, gospel, or klezmer.
