Tiene una melodia suave, atravesada por la nostalgia propia de los tonos menores pero sin acercarse a la tristeza, aùn cuando su letra habla de un amor no correspondido, un amor que no halla respuesta.

A big hello to the entire @music community. I want to share with you today my version of a beautiful song. It has a gentle melody, permeated by the nostalgia of minor keys but never bordering on sadness, even though its lyrics speak of unrequited love, a love that goes unanswered.

Tenìa yo alrededor de 14 años cuando escuché esta canción por primera vez y de inmediato pasó a formar parte de mi lista - mental - de canciones favoritas. Recuerdo que la cantaba junto con mi prima Thaís Brigitte a la que ya varias décadas que no veo. A veces nos reuníamos a cantar y nos turnàbamos para tocar el cuatro venezolano como instrumento acompañante. Tengho una anècdota que guardo con especial cariño de esa época y fue una vez en que ella vino a casa y yo no saquè el cuagtro ya que estaba "enfiebrada" con mis clases de órgano. Había comprado un Yamaha B2R, recuerdo de aquellos de doble teclado e la parte supèrior el teclado de los bajos para el pe izquierdo y el pedal de expresión para el derecho.

I was around 14 years old when I first heard this song, and it immediately became part of my (mental) list of favorite songs. I remember singing it with my cousin Thaís Brigitte, whom I haven't seen for several decades. Sometimes we would get together to sing, and we would take turns playing the Venezuelan cuatro as an accompanying instrument. I have a fond anecdote from that time: one time she came to my house, and I didn't take out the cuatro because I was "feverish" with my organ lessons. I had bought a Yamaha B2R, a memory of one with a double keyboard, the upper part having the bass keyboard for the left bass and the expression pedal for the right.

Esa tarde recuerdo haberle tocado unas cinco canciones en el órgano, antes que ella me dijera: "Ahora apaga el òrgano y vamos a escuchar mùsica" Entonces nos miramos y nos echamos a reìr por la connotaciòn que podìa tener esa frase, como que lo que yo habìa hecho hasta el momento no hubiera tenìa nada què ver con la mùsica. Y, bueno, sì, apaguè el òrgano, encendimos el tocadiscos y nos pusimos a escuchar canciones de Roberto Carlos y Camilo Sesto.

That afternoon I remember playing her about five songs on the organ before she said to me, "Now turn off the organ, and we'll listen to some music." Then we looked at each other and laughed at the connotation that phrase could have had, as if what I had done up until that point had nothing to do with music. And, well, yes, I turned off the organ, we turned on the record player, and we started listening to songs by Roberto Carlos and Camilo Sesto.

Esta canción "Romance" recorre distintos detalles de la naturaleza y concluye con unas lineas dedicadas a la guitarra. Es una bella canción como dije al principio, poco conocida - es muy probable que ustedes nunca la hayan escuchado - y desearía que les gustara tanto que la incluyeran en sus respectivos repertorios para salvarla así del olvido.

This song "Romance" explores various details of nature and concludes with a few lines dedicated to the guitar. It's a beautiful song, as I said at the beginning, little known—you've probably never heard it—and I hope you like it so much that you'll include it in your respective repertoires, thus saving it from oblivion.
