La primera pieza es del año 1994 y pertenece al álbum Amor prohibido. De esta canción hay una versión a cargo de Selena Gómez, quien participó en un disco en homenaje a su tocaya y como tributo a toda la comunidad mexicana radicada en los Estados Unidos. Al igual que la mayoría de su repertorio, "Bidi Bidi bom bom" es una cumbia tex-mex.

La segunda pieza es "Amor prohibido", una de sus canciones más famosas y que también, al igual que la anterior, pertenece al quinto álbum que lleva el mismo nombre. Esta canción es una cumbia que habla de las relaciones amorosas entre personas de clases sociales diferentes.

Quiero cerrar con la canción más famosa de Selena: "Como la flor". Con esta canción, Selena gana no solo popularidad, también muchos premios importantes. Tanto así que, en 2018, la revista Rolling Stone la incluyó entre las mejores canciones de pop latino.

Cuando uno escucha la música y potente voz de Selena, lamenta su muerte prematura porque sabemos que era una cantante con mucho talento y que tenía mucho para dar. Murió la reina del tex-mex, pero quedó su gran legado musical.

For weeks now, I have been sharing with you the music of the singers I like the most and listen to the most. Today I want to share with you one of the singers who makes me dance and whom I generally listen to when I clean the house. Let's listen to the queen of Tejano music: Selena Quintanilla.
Known in the music world simply as Selena, she rose to fame in 1992 and shortly after, in 1995, she was murdered. In her short career, she left many hits that still play today and are a reference when talking about Tex-Mex music. Let's listen to three of her greatest hits.
