La primera canción que vamos a escuchar se titula: "Es mentiroso ese hombre". Este merengue es uno de los más bailables de su repertorio, junto con "Bandolero", "Cómo olvidar", "Así es la vida", y uno de los más pedidos en sus conciertos.

En segundo lugar, escuchemos la canción "Basta ya", la cual se convirtió en todo un himno para las mujeres víctimas de violencia. Esta pieza logró ocupar el primer lugar de las revistas Billboard Hot Latin Tracks y Billboard Latin Pop Airplay en 1996, convirtiéndose en una de las canciones más exitosas de la puertorriqueña.

Y en tercer lugar, mi canción favorita en el mundo: "Mi eterno amor secreto". Esta pieza, original de Marco Antonio Solís, quien es el compositor, habla de esos amores que todavía amándose deben separarse y ocultar su amor, aunque nunca podrán olvidarse:

"Aunque no te vuelva a ver
Quiero que sepas que haré
Por ti
Mi viaje sin boleto
Y en la distancia siempre serás
Mi eterno amor secreto".

Olga Tañón es tan querida en nuestro país que tiene su propio día en Venezuela, el 20 de mayo. En innumerables oportunidades ha dicho que se siente venezolana, tanto que le escribió una canción bellísima a nuestro país titulada "Qué bonita eres". Así como ella ama nuestro país, nosotros la amamos a ella y ya la adoptamos.

So far we have listened to the music of Mon Laferte, Natalia Lafourcade, and Shakira. Today, it is a great pleasure for me to share with you three songs from the woman of fire, the Puerto Rican with a Venezuelan soul: Olga Tañón.
Considered one of the most versatile merengue artists in the industry and a voice that has marked many generations, Olga Tañón has sold millions of copies worldwide and has earned countless awards, including Grammy Awards, Billboard, and Premios Lo Nuestro. Let's listen to the woman of fire...
The first song we are going to listen to is titled: "That man is a liar." This merengue is one of the most danceable in his repertoire, along with "Bandolero," "How to forget," "That's life," and one of the most requested at his concerts.
Secondly, let's listen to the song "Basta ya", which became an anthem for women victims of violence. This piece reached the top spot on the Billboard Hot Latin Tracks and Billboard Latin Pop Airplay charts in 1996, becoming one of Tañón's most successful songs.
And thirdly, my favorite song in the world: "My Eternal Secret Love." This piece, originally by Marco Antonio Solís, who is the composer, speaks about those loves that, even though they love each other, must separate and hide their love, although they will never be able to forget each other:
