Dr.Alban - It's My Life
Technotronic - Get Up

Hello, friends of the world. Hello, friends of Hive. Today is Tuesday and as you all know, Tuesdays are for sharing good music on HIVE.
This past Sunday was Father's Day in Venezuela and although I could share with you songs dedicated to fathers, I want to remember three songs that many of us danced, sang and enjoyed. So turn up the volume and get ready to remember the old choreographies and steps of the time. Ah, with caution, because our bones are not what they used to be.
The idea for this post was born on Sunday, when in the middle of Father's Day, my brother-in-law played some 90's music and we all went out to the dance floor to dance. There are videos of that, but since I still have a little embarrassment, I won't share them with you. Hahahahaha. The first song we danced to was Macarena. It was a classic.
Who does not remember and who did not dance to It's My Life. I remember that in Venezuela it was normal to go to the discotheques on weekends, get up at dawn and then, after leaving, go to eat arepas in areperas that worked 24 hours a day. At that time any young person could pay for "tobos de cervezas" or a bottle of whiskey in any "antro" or nightclub and still have money left to pay for the cab.
I want to close with this piece by Technotronic. Beyond the questionable musical quality and the fact that this group was involved in accusations of dubbing, they got half the world dancing. On Sunday, when it started to play, everyone took to the dance floor and we remembered the choreography. Between laughter and movements, we were young again.
To remember is to live and I don't know about you, but listening to music from the past makes me relive many good things. nym thtyear lot of Too bad the 80's and 90's were only 20 years and not 100, although musically speaking, the 80's and 90's are eternal.
