Idols of a generation. 3 songs by Frank Quintero
Hello, friends of the world! Hello, friends of Hive. Today is Tuesday again and as everyone knows, Tuesdays are for good music.
In my usual posts about Venezuelan singers who emerged in the 80's and became Idols of a whole generation, today I'm going to talk about a singer-songwriter like few others, Mr. Frank Quintero.
Juan Francisco Quintero, better known as Frank Quintero, is a Venezuelan singer-songwriter who achieved fame in the 80's with hits that are still heard today on the radio and are hummed by young and old. Today, it will be a pleasure to listen to three of his greatest musical interpretations.
I would like to start with one of the most famous, Química, which is a soft ballad, with a catchy and unbeatable chorus. This song talks about the attraction between two people: “It's your skin and my skin, it's a magnetism that unites us, it's just chemistry, chemistry, oh, just chemistry. From your body and my body.. ”
The second piece is another hit of this singer-songwriter who was always characterized for being a talented artist, but also very humble. The song is titled “Sin querer evitarlo” and it is a song about a relationship between friends in which one begins to feel in love with the other. For those of you who have had this experience, I advise you to turn up the volume and sing the chorus: “And without wanting to avoid it, I'm falling in love with you”.
The last piece of the day is a classic of Venezuelan music and considered one of the most beautiful pieces of this singer-songwriter: “Canción para ti”. This ballad, in particular, brings me beautiful memories of love, but also sad, for some losses: “If I could fly to your dream, I would come to you, and then make you hear what I could never tell you”, says the chorus of the song and I think of how many people are gone without ever knowing the love we kept for them.
In recent days, I was watching an interview with Frank Quintero, who lives in Miami, and I was pleased to see that his talent remains intact, but also his humility, his vocation and his gift for people. A true artist...
Beautiful songs you have shared. I love the third tune the most. The guitar adds a touch of serenity to the lyrics.
Good job.

“Song for you” is such a beautiful song, that some mothers use it as a lullaby for children, a song to make them go to sleep. Greetings and thank you for your comment
You're welcome.
Me trajo recuerdos.
Saludos
Being a Chemical Engineer I like the song Chemistry!
Mind you the last one Song for you is cool too and I can see why those mothers use it is a lullaby for their children!
Sending you a chemistry hug today Nancy
