ThreeTuneTuesday - Attack on Titan (AoT)

Hello Hive Music Lovers!,

Welcome to another #threetunetuesday created originally by @ablaze.

AoT.jpg

This week I will share some of my favorite tracks from the amazing Attack on Titan anime series. If you have not seen it before, it is about a civilisation living behind huge walls to protect them from marauding human-eating titans (giants).

This has to be one of if not the best anime produced and I love it. It covers some very interesting themes throughout the series with many plot twists and turns. Not only that though, but it has also some great tunes to accompany it, and 3 of those I will share with you today.

They are not your typical orchestral-type songs but are somehow super epic.

The first song is the brilliant "Red Swan" by Yoshiki and the opening to season 3. I really loved this tune since the first time I heard it. It also has some interesting lyrics asking "What is the lie?", "What's the truth?" and "What to believe?" that we can relate to in our current times.

The second tune is hard to choose as there are a few really good songs in the official soundtrack. However, I have opted to go for the ətˈæk 0N tάɪtn song composed by Hiroyuki Sawano Project and this version is sung by Eliana. The song is really powerful and shows the great work that has gone into the soundtrack. I don't really know the lyrics, but it sounds good for orchestral type music.

The final song is from the same set and starts at 9.20. I have saved the timestamp link but it may not work, but you can click here.. My favorite is also composed by the awesome Hiroyuki Sawano but this time sung by the wonderful Cyua. It is an amazingly powerful song but is quite unique in that she is singing in german, although it is quite difficult to understand with the accent.

Without the lyrics, I cannot hear the german, but once you have the lyrics you can hear it and understand it fine. The song is called Vogel im Käfig (Bird in a cage) which seems very fitting to the theme of Attack on Titan.

That's it from me, have a great musical Tuesday!

Until next time.

The suite is like an epic story and I have no clue what anyone is saying. I think you missed the 3rd song since that is the suite again :P The first had some great "classic rock guitar" but fortunately the vocals are better than Aerosmith could ever be. !PIZZA

It is a great set, only beaten by the Electric Samurai. I think the 3rd link should start at 9.20, but the timing doesn't seem to be working. !PIZZA

Oh yes , I would have to listen again for a fave but she is up there for sure. Maybe just mention before the video it might not work then copy the time link in normal link so the interfaces don't remove it or embed it wrong.

Thanks for the tip. I tried to re-embed it but it removes the timestamp for some reason. I added the link as extra.

Yeah tried the iframe embed method also and decency just flat ignores the timestamp. not tested on other interfaces.

I will add the normal link in future now. PeakD also ignores it by the looks of things.

I really feel like shows have upped their game when it comes to soundtracks lately. It's cool to see them put some much thought and care into something that to many would just be considered an after thought.

I haven't watched much anime since Robotech. If that tells you how old I am!

They really did a great job on this soundtrack for sure. It is one of my favorites. I am gonna watch season 4 later today..

I never heard about Robotech but after googling, it is not recent. lol

No, I was a kid when it came out. I remember how compelling the story was. It was the first time that Fox aired a cartoon like that. It was kind of mind blowing.

Thats cool if you can remember since then, it must have been good.

Yeah, like I said, it was the first time that a cartoon ever really elicited emotion from me. Plus it was just so different from everything else that was the Hanna Barbara Style.

Yes I agree with you. It's a well done anime with good plot and deep meaning behind almost everything.I wouldn't want it to happen in real life though xD

The ALIVE token is one of the #HiveEngine tipping tokens available on Hive, which you can tip to other users without sending tokens out of your Hive Engine wallet if you have enough of those tokens on your wallet. 🤓 You will see the list of your available Hive Engine tokens at https://ecency.com/@shawnnft/engine. 😏

For starters, the !LUV token is the easiest to accumulate and start tipping with. ❤️

If you have other questions, feel free to ask! 🤗

Oh So you can send these tokens to others and don't have to own anything so it's like giving tips but not using my own money?

You first need to own a certain amount of each #HiveEngine tipping token so that you can start tipping them to others without reducing the amount of the token already in your wallet. 🤓

For example, if you have 10 LUV on your wallet, you can tip 1 !LUV once a day without reducing any from the 10 LUV already on your Hive Engine wallet. ❤️ If you have 16 staked LOLZ on your wallet, you can tip 1 !LOLZ per day without spending LOLZ already on your wallet. 😏

I know nothing about Anime to be honest, not even sure what they are, are they cartoon stories or something like that?

Anyway, that first one reminded me of Muse, a really good band from the UK, who have some serious anthems that have a similar vibe - here are a few in case you are not familiar, but I am sure you are...

I did my #ttt 34 on Muse, but I don't think many were reading back then, so might do another one of the weeks, thanks for the inspo!

That second song was quality too, love when it slows down and the chello comes in, very atmospheric..

That timestamp thingy did indeed work and her voice is great and works well with the crescendo of instruments..

Yeah they are like Japanese style cartoons but can be more like films.

I quite like Muse and a few of their songs. Thanks for sharing, giving it a listen now. 🎧🎶🎵😎👍

Ok, thanks for that, I hear them mentioned a bit, but didn't know what they were.
