Teknotropic - Original hard techno music track

Today I wanted to explore a genre that I really love since I have started making music, and that is the hard techno or hardtek, an extreme type of music that I really enjoy. Because its energetic, it feels like it gives me life.
This fast types of genres are the best to pump up your energy! it motivates me so much, no wonder why many "gymrats" use this types of hardcore electronic genre as a workout music, sometimes I feel like the most extremes are the ones that cause this energetic effect like speedcore or gabber.

A few years ago the scene of hardcore tech was very small and underground, the main places to make this type of music and laso the few festivals were in Europe, but now with the magic of the internet specially social media and short form content this style blew up and even the most extreme artists are getting the recognition they deserve finally.

The main ones that I see getting a lot of attention specially from younger generations are the Hardstyle and Jumpstyle, I guess because they are the most catchy and more happy sounding music.
It feels like artist from back in the day were ahead of its time really, they didnt know they were making music for the future.

No in a sense I feel nostalgic making this music it brings me beautiful memories, when I started making music, and also it reminds me long lost friends and it's funny to remember how cringy my first tracks were lol , all os that feelings makes me feel like time stayed still, so I decided that I'm going to make more music like this, last year I did produced succefully experiments using distorted basslines and dirty kick drums for short video clips and I really felt like the years havent pass at all for real.

So basically this track is called Teknotropic because the inspiration is that this music I wanted to make it like a medication to boost your energy and also happy memories just like Nootropics make to your brain, for those who dont know nootropics are medicinal substances whose action improves human thinking and I wanted to accomplish that feeling of music to boost your brain activity or something, I feel like this is the goal of this whole hard electronics genre after all. So basically :
techno + nootropics = teknotropic

That's hiw ghe concept started.

Process

The main melody is on the C-Scale with the "Bellarina #2 " bell sound on the Sytrus plugin and I used these notes:

One thing that I used in this particular track was another additional layer of melody, that gives a little bit of depth to the atmosphere I feel because I used notes on the same Scale and they complement it other, these are the notes I used with the sound called "Glass", also in the Sytrus plugin:

As the intro Sound I used the Sawer plugin with the sound MC Chains, this sound its perfect for mystery soundtracks or suspense, so its perfect to build "tension" in the track as an intro:

Then I added the distorted kick drums, with 4/4 time signature as always in this type of music and as a bass sound I used the Harmor plugin with the default bass sound with a note C#2, I like this bass sound because it blends perfectly with hard kick drums.

So this track was played live as always, to sound organic and I used the camtasia software for recording the screen, but after that I needed a few details to fix so I used the video editing software to edit the audio also, I cut a few seconds after the intro just to make the kicks enter the track in a more "subtle" way and also after the middle part because I used in the last part a few effects and there was a few seconds more of silence than I wanted, and also because one thing that is typical to almost all electronic music is that we build tension and then release it, its a signature of this style of music, thats why in the third part the silence plays a big roll, and if you notice I also experiment to achive this using the speed of the track I started with a bpm of 130 and then I little by little turned into 160 bpm and to add more impact I put more kicks so its like the final part is where all the energy is being released.

So the name says it all Teknotropics are all about brain, and this art is a person with the head literally open and almost exploding, the skull is open so much that something is entering or getting out of it.
